How to heal operators in Rainbow Six Extraction?

Health is extremely crucial in R6E.

Maintaining operator health in Rainbow Six Extraction is quite complex. Before learning how to heal operators, let's first find out how the game's health system works.

Your operator had two health types—Base Health and Boost Health. The former is depicted by the white bar whereas the latter is shown as a blue bar on the bottom left corner of the HUD. Each health type has a maximum limit of 100 HP which means you can accumulate up to 200 HP.

You start an incursion with full Base Health (100 HP). This health cannot be recovered between matches. On the contrary, Boost Health can be accumulated using specific items and abilities. However, it isn't permanent and diminishes gradually overtime.

How to heal Boost Health in Rainbow Six Extraction

  • Medkits are scattered across the incursion zone. These grant you a 65 Boost Health which recedes at a rate of one HP every 10 seconds. You can check out the remaining med supplies by opening the map.
  • You can use the Doc operator's Health Shots to gain 15 Boost Health points. These equipment are limited to three shots and can be used on self and teammates.
  • Anabolic Accelerant is a Tech item that you can use to regenerate 50 Boost Health overtime. You can add this to your loadout after reaching level 18 in the game.

How to heal Base Health in Rainbow Six Extraction

  • Damage to your Base Health carries over even after the extraction and you have to regain it. Base Health can be regenerated by playing the game and gathering experience points (XP).
  • The more you score, the more health you can add to your operator. You receive more XP by playing on higher difficulty and completing objectives during matches. The total XP you earn is translated into certain HP which is then added to every operator's base health if required.
  • You cannot pick an operator if their Base Health is below 25. This system compels you to try out different operators.
