How to beat all Resident Evil 4 Remake bosses

This list features all Resident Evil 4 Remake bosses and how to beat them in the order they appear in the game. Some boss fights are entirely new, while certain bosses have been cut from the Remake. Most boss fights will depend on your damage output, so buying a Rocket Launcher early in the game is a viable option when fighting most of the bosses.

How to beat Del Lago in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Del Lago is the first boss in Resident Evil 4 Remake, and beating it is reasonably straightforward. At the start of the fight, it will start dragging your boat. Hit it with a harpoon as often as possible during this part. Try predicting its movements. It will take a couple of tries, but you will get it eventually.

Occasionally, it will dive under the water. It will resurface from a random direction. Once it starts coming toward you, prevent it from crashing into you by hitting it into its mouth. Afterward, it will begin to drag your boat again. Repeat the same process from above several times until you finally kill it.

How to beat El Gigante in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

To beat El Gigante in Resident Evil 4 Remake, shoot it as much as possible until it starts sprouting la Plaga from its back. The parasite is its weak point, and you should target it exclusively from then on. Once you do enough damage to it, El Gigante will be staggered, allowing you to climb onto its back and melee la Plaga sprout repetitively for additional damage. Shortly after, El Gigante will recover. Repeat the whole process.

There are two small huts where you will be fighting it. You can find helpful resources there that will help you in the fight. Don't stick around for too long; the giant will pick the hut up and hurl it towards you. If you rescue the White Dog from the trap back in the Village Chief's House backyard, it will enter the fight at a certain point, helping you out by drawing El Gigante's attention away from you and giving you a free shot at its Plaga.

How to beat Bitores Mendez in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Beating Bitores Mendez in Resident Evil 4 Remake takes a two-stage fight. Go up the ladders and climb the upper floor as soon as the fight starts to gain the upper hand in the combat. Being on the upper floor exposes the weak point on his back. Keep doing damage to the eye on his back while dodging his attacks. Eventually, his upper body will separate from the lower, triggering the second phase of the fight.

During the second phase, Mendez will hurl burning parts of the building at you while hanging from the beams. He will be moving fast, so watch out when he's about to throw debris at you and get ready to dodge accordingly. Otherwise, just keep shooting at him. At one point, he will pick up two explosive barrels. Take the opportunity to shoot and detonate them, doing additional damage to him.

How to beat Garrador in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Beating Garrador in Resident Evil 4 Remake isn't hard but requires finesse and stealth. The creature is invulnerable except for a single weakspot on its back. It has no sight but can hear you, which you can exploit to lead it away from you. Touching any hanging chains in the cellar will create noise, drawing Garrador to charge toward you. Ensure you're safely out of its way, as it will come with claws flailing all around.

Every time the Garrador charges, you must quickly dodge out of the way and take the opportunity to fire at the Plaga on its back. Once it's hit, the Plaga will come out, enabling you to shoot it again, dealing further damage. Repeat this process several more times until it goes down.

How to beat Armored El Gigante in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Beatin Armored El Gigante in Resident Evil 4 Remake will be easier than the first fight. It will stand on the castle wall across from you, hurling rocks in your direction. You will not have to confront it directly or shoot at it with your weapons. Once you reach the tower designated with the objective marker, you must raise the defense canon to the top by disconnecting the weights that keep it lowered. Once the canon is raised, simply shoot the Armored El Gigante once to kill it.

How to beat Twin Garradors in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Beating Twin Garradors in Resident Evil 4 Remake will be more complicated than the previous encounter. The basic principle remains the same regarding their strengths and weaknesses, but the difference from the last fight is that there are two of them this time.

When the fight starts, take care of the Ganado cultists first. Make some noise, and Garradors will come charging toward you, likely maiming the Ganados in the process. The rest of the fight will come down to exploiting the exposed Plagas on their backs. Shoot them when given a chance, and keep dodging and parrying their attacks, always paying attention to where each one is.

How to beat Verdugo in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Beating Verdugo in Resident Evil 4 Remake will require that you freeze it because the creature has no weakpoints. At the start of the fight, lure it close to the red coolant pipes with a switch. Press the button when Verdugo is about to lunge at you and dodge out of the way. It will become frozen and vulnerable to weapons fire. Shoot it as much as possible until it thaws and runs away. Leave the first area and proceed into a long hallway.

Verdugo will return for more, lashing with its tail from the ceiling. Be ready to dodge those attacks. Keep moving forward until it comes out and starts chasing you again. Keep leading it through the hallways and baiting it onto the coolant pipes to freeze and shoot it. Repeat the process three more times until you finally kill it.

How to beat El Gigante and Armored El Gigante in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

To beat El Gigante and Armored El Gigante in Resident Evil 4 Remake, you will have to use tactics from the first El Gigante fight and some new ones as well. It's a two-stage fight, where you must beat the unarmored variant as you did in the first fight, evading attacks from the armored variant.

Once you kill El Gigante, Luis will retire from the fight briefly. You can't harm Armored El Gigante during this time, so just evade attacks and try to get it to jump at you near the raised platforms. Luis will appear, throwing explosives onto its back. Shoot the explosives to crack the armor, exposing its Plaga. Shoot the parasite while ensuring the Armored El Gigante is standing on the hatch. Once you do enough damage, it will cower down, allowing you to drop it into the magma by holding the use button near the controls.

How to beat Krauser in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Beating Krauser will test your melee skills and reaction times in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Time your knife parries and look for Evade cues while fighting him and connecting melee attacks whenever possible. Otherwise, it's a straightforward and short fight.

How to beat Ramon Salazar in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

You need mostly firepower to beat Ramon Salazar in Resident Evil 4 Remake. His attack consists of vomiting black corrosive bile. Don't try targeting him while he moves because he's too difficult to hit, and you won't do much damage to him. Once he stops and opens his mouth to spray you with the black goo, shoot his exposed body with high-powered weapons. Repeat this process until his mutated form drops to the ground, injured. Press the Melee button to finish him off, ending the fight.

How to beat Mutated Krauser in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

The fight to beat Mutated Krauser in Resident Evil 4 Remake will start similarly to the first one. Shoot Krauser to lure him out and make him come to you. Engage in hand-to-hand combat, parrying and evading promptly. Shortly he will escape. Up the stairs to the upper floor, raise the door by turning the yellow spoked wheel. Enter the cellar to continue the fight.

The underground cellar area will have laser mines, bear traps, and automatic turrets everywhere. Carefully make your way, avoiding them and Krauser's sporadic attacks. Emerge from the underground and cross the bridge, taking cover as Krauser shoots at you with a rocket launcher. Engage him for the second round of combat.

After the second round, he mutates, taking the fight back underground. You need to find your way topside while avoiding Krauser's hit-and-run attacks. Climb the ladder to the wooden platform to trigger a short scene, followed by the final round of combat. Use high-power weapons to shoot Krauser while evading his attacks and try to do as much damage as possible. He will occasionally hold up his right arm to shield himself; wait for the time when he drops his guard, and continues firing.

How to beat Saddler in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Saddler is the final boss of Resident Evil 4 Remake, and beating him will be the biggest fight yet. He will mutate into a giant monstrosity with multiple limbs and appendages. There will be two eyes at each of his leg joints you need to shoot first. Once you pop a second eye, he will get stunned and fall. At that point, target his central eye, marked with a double white pointer, using a high-power weapon.

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Once Saddler recovers, two more eyes will pop back out, which you need to target next. Shoot explosive barrels to stagger him and then focus fire on the eyes. Repeat the whole process. When you do a certain amount of damage, he will flee to the top of a central platform, summoning flying parasites to attack you. Use this time to kill as many as possible because he will return and engage you.

At this point, Saddler will start using the Black Bile attack, similar to what Ramon Salazar used in his boss fight. Dispatch the rest of the bugs to focus freely on Saddler. This time he will have four eyes on his leg joints that you must shoot. Repeat the process from before. Once you do enough damage to him, he will go back on top of his platform, but instead of summoning minions, he will spray you with the Black Bile. Shortly after, he will come down for one more round.

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Repeat shooting his limb eyes and his central eye one more time until you trigger a second mutation. He will transform into a sprawling nest of tentacles. This last bit will be fairly straightforward, as you merely have to shoot the central orange blister, evading attacks from jagged tentacles. At a certain point, Ada will pass you a rocket launcher. Shoot it at the blister to trigger the sequence where you finally kill Saddler.
