How to Solve the Lake Symbol Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

All three puzzles in one place!

There are three puzzles that can be found around the Lake in Resident Evil 4 Remake once Leon can use the boat. These three puzzles can all be solved during Chapter 4, but one of them is entirely optional. To progress the story, Leon must find two heads in different areas of the map. These are locked by a puzzle involving symbols in two coves, whereas the other puzzle requires three Hexagonal pieces for a treasure. This is how to solve all the Puzzles in Chapter 4 of Resident Evil 4 Remake.

How to solve the Small Cave Symbol Puzzle in RE4 Remake

During Chapter 4, Leon will have to travel to two different locations to gather Heads to progress through the game. One of these heads is located North East of the Lake in the Small Cave Shrine. To get through the door where the head is, Leon will have to look around for yellow symbols that resemble the panel to the door. These can all be found toward the left of the door, with one by the ladder and the other two visible after climbing up. Below is the solution.

The symbols can be pressed in any order and will unlock the door to the Blasphemer's Head and another key item.

How to solve the Hexagon Puzzle in RE4 Remake

The Hexagon Puzzle will start in Chapter 3 but won't be able to be solved until Chapter 4. The device that uses the Hexagons can be found near the docks where Leon first finds the boat and requires three pieces. The puzzle itself is quite simple and can be solved in three moves, but if players have already fiddled with it, they can make it harder on themselves. Saving before attempting to solve the puzzle will make it significantly easier, as the moving pieces can end up anywhere. Here is how to find every piece and solve the puzzle.

Where to find all Hexagon A, B, and C in Resident Evil Remake

The first Hexagon piece can be found in a chest by the Merchant. This chest can be opened in Chapter 3 but will still be there in Chapter 4.

Hexagon B can be found by the last Blue Medallion in the Fish Farm. It is inside a chest underneath the bridge.

Hexagon C can be found in the same room as the Blasphemer's Head shown above in the Small Cave Shrine.

Hexagon Puzzle Solution for RE4 Remake

There are two easy solutions for the Hexagon Puzzle that differ depending on the difficulty. For Assisted and Standard, the solution is to rotate the cluster of tiles on the left one time, and then the tiles on the top two times. For Hardcore and Professional, the solution is right two times, left two times, and the top one time.
