Risk of Rain 2 recently received its biggest DLC pack, called Survivors of the Void. In addition to the new game modes, items, and enemies, the premium content adds two new survivors to the game. Void Fiend is the second playable character introduced with the new update.
To unlock Void Fiend in Risk of Rain 2, you have to defeat the final crab boss in the new alternate ending, which takes place in the Planetarium area. Another way to unlock the survivor is by surviving 50 waves in the Simulacrum.
According to the game's publishers, Gearbox, the Void Fiend survivor is most suitable for players who prefer a "risk-and-reward style" gameplay. That's because he transforms between a controlled and corrupted form, with both forms having their unique powers and weaknesses.
