All Animals and Pet Passives in Grow A Garden (Friendship Update)

In the latest Grow A Garden Animal Update, the developers have added a new feature called Pets. As the name suggests, players can now grow Pets in their gardens alongside crops. While Pets don't provide any profit directly, each of them has unique buffs/passives that can help you farm a lot of money. Here is a guide that lists all the Pets in Grow A Garden, along with the buffs they provide.

What are the various Pets in Grow A Garden?

Below, I have listed all the pets in Grow A Garden, organized by rarity and the buffs and passives they provide. Remember, all the stats scale based on the pet's age and the food you feed them. The stats presented are based on their starting age.

Common Egg

• Bunny: Every 45 Seconds, the Bunny will eat a Carrot for a 1.5x value bonus. If there are no carrots, the Bunny will simply hop around the Garden and do nothing.
• Dog: Every 1 Minute, there is a 5% chance to dig up a random seed.
• Golden Lab: Every 58.19s, there is a 10.36% chance to dig up a random seed.

Uncommon Egg

• Black Bunny: Similar to Bunny, every 45 Seconds, the Black Bunny will eat a Carrot for a 1.7x value bonus. If there are no carrots, the Bunny will simply hop around the Garden and do nothing.
• Chicken: Increases your Egg Hatch Speed by 16%.
• Deer: 2.55% Chance that the berry fruit stays after harvest.
• Cat: Every 79.24s, naps for 10.19s, new fruit within 10.19 Studs will be 1.25x Larger.
• Pig: Every 119.26s, you will emit an aura for 15.18s, which grants a 2.01x chance for new fruit to grow as variants within 15.18 studs.

Rare Egg

• Orange Tabby: Every 88.87 seconds, the Orange Tabby will nap for 15.42 seconds. New fruit within 15.42 studs will be 1.53 times larger!
• Spotted Deer: 3% Chance that the berry fruit stays after harvest.
• Rooster: Increases your Egg Hatch Speed by 20%.
• Monkey: There is a 5% chance of refunding fruit back to your inventory. Additionally, rarer plants have a lower likelihood of receiving a refund.

Legendary Egg

• Cow: All plants within 8.18 Studs grow 1.12x faster.
• Silver Monkey: There is a 7.66% chance of refunding fruit back to your inventory. Additionally, rarer plants have a lower likelihood of receiving a refund.
• Polar Bear: Every 89.23 seconds, there is a 10.19% chance that a nearby fruit will become chilled or frozen.
• Sea Otter: Every 118.94s, it will randomly spray water on a nearby plant.
• Panda: Every 2:59 minutes, the Panda will eat bamboo for a 1.52x value bonus.
• Turtle: All the Sprinklers last 20% longer.

Bugg Egg

• Caterpillar: All Leafy plants within 15.35 studs will grow 1.51x faster.
• Giant Ant: There is a 10.23% chance of harvesting duplicate fruits. Also, rarer fruits have a lower chance of being duplicated.
• Snail: There is a 5.11% extra chance of harvested plants dropping seeds.
• Praying Mantis: Every 79.64s prays for 10.12s, which grants a 1.51x variant chance within 10.12 studs.
• Dragonfly: Every 4:52 minutes, it turns one random fruit into gold.

Night Egg

• Hedgehog: Increases the Size of all Prickly plants like Cacti by a 1.5x Size Boost.
• Kiwi: Sits on top of an Egg with the highest Hatch time and reduces its hatch time by 20 seconds every 50 seconds.
• Frog: Every 20 minutes, the pet will accelerate the growth of a random plant.
• Mole: Every 90 seconds, it will dig underground to retrieve free items, such as gears and even money.
• Echo Frog: Every 15 minutes, the pet will speed up a random plant’s growth.
• Night Owl: All equipped Pets will get an XP Boost.
• Raccoon: Every 14.57m, it goes to another player and steals (duplicate) a random fruit from their Garden.

Mythical Egg

• Squirrel: You have a 2.5% chance that you'll keep your seed while planting.
• Red Giant Ant: You have a 5% chance to duplicate crops on harvest. Also, fruits have an extra 5% chance.
• Red Fox: Every 10 minutes, the fox will attempt to steal seed from a neighbour's plot.
• Brown Mouse: Every 10 minutes, you will gain a 750 bonus XP. Also, the player's jump height will increase by 10%.
• Grey Mouse: Every 10 minutes, you will gain a 500 bonus XP. Also, the player's movement speed will increase by 10%.

Limited Blood Moon Pets

• Blood Owl: All active pets gain 0.5 more XP per second.
• Blood Kiwi: Every 60 seconds, the hatch time of an egg decreases by 45 seconds, and the hatch speed increases by 20%.
• Blood Hedgehog: Increases the Size of all the Prickly Fruit up to x2.
• Chicken Zombie: Every 30 minutes, there is a 20% chance a nearby fruit becomes Zombified! Also, it increases egg hatch speed by 10%
• Moon Cat: Every minute, the cat naps for 20 seconds. While sleeping, all fruit within 20 studs will become x1.5 larger and get the Moon Harvest buff (All Night Plants have a 6% chance to replant themselves while harvesting)

Limited Bee Egg Pets

• Bee: Every 24:37 Minutes, it flies to a nearby fruit and pollinates it, applying the Pollinated mutation.
• Honey Bee: A better version of the Default Bee
• Bear Bee: Every 25:00 Minutes, it goes to the nearby plant and provides the fruit with the Honey Glaze mutation.
• Petal Bee: Every 24:37 Minutes, pollinates fruit with Pollinated mutation. Also, there is a 1.29% chance that the flower-type fruit stays after harvest.
• Queen Bee: Every 24:26 Minutes, magically pollinates nearby fruit (Pollinated mutation). Additionally, every 29 minutes and 26 seconds, it refreshes a pet’s cooldown.

Limited Anti-Bee Egg Pets

• Wasp: Every 29:43 minutes, it flies to a nearby fruit and pollinates it, applying a Pollinated mutation! Additionally, every 9 minutes and 56 seconds, it stings a random pet and reduces the cooldown by 61.26 seconds.
• Tarantula Hawk: Every 24 minutes and 50 seconds, it flies to a nearby fruit and pollinates it, applying the Pollinated mutation! Also, every 4:59 minutes, it stings a random pet and reduces the cooldown by 80.95s!
• Moth: Every 12:32 minutes, it sings to a random pet and restores its hunger to 100%
• Butterfly: Every 28:26 minutes, it flies to a nearby fruit with 5+ mutations, removes all mutations from it, and turns it into a Rainbow! It ignores the favorite fruit.
• Disco Bee: Every 18:54 minutes, there is a 13.19% chance that a nearby fruit gets the Disco Mutation.

How to get Pets in Grow A Garden

To get Pets in Grow A Garden, you need to purchase Eggs. There is a new Pet Egg Store adjacent to the Gears Shop on the east side of the map. Here, you can buy Eggs using in-game money, similar to seeds from the Shop, and also restock every 30 minutes.

Once you have an egg, you can plant it in your Garden like any crop/plant until it hatches into a pet. This hatching period varies depending on the Egg/Pet rarity. Yes, you read it right! There are various rarities of pets, ranging from common to exotic ones.

After hatching, you can then leave it inside your Garden to get all the valuable buffs/passives from it. Currently, you can equip and use up to 3 for your Garden.
