Apart from using mythical or high-rarity seeds, the best way to increase the selling price of your crops is to mutate them. So, if you are new to the game and don't know anything regarding mutations, don't fret! In this guide, I will explain to you in a step-by-step manner how to mutate your crops, the most valuable Mutation, and the types of Mutation in the experience.

What are the various types of Mutations in Grow a Garden?

In the current version of the game, there are eight types of Mutations, which means there are eight variations of a single crop. You can find all these variations of the crop below.

Normal Mutation

• Description: This is the regular version of the crop. Apparently, the standard version itself is considered a mutation in Grow a Garden
• Selling Multiplier: x1
• Obtainment Method: 98.1 %

Big (Overgrown) Mutation

• Description: All of your crops will look extremely big and have an increase in weight
• Selling Multiplier: x1
• Obtainment Method: Though it's completely random, you can use Sprinklers like the Basic or Master ones to increase your chance of getting this Mutation

Bloodlit Mutation

• Description: Crops with the Bloodlit Mutation will have a shiny aura and a red appearance
• Selling Multiplier: x4
• Obtainment Method: The Bloodlit Mutation can be acquired during the regular blood moon event, which happens every 3 hours.

Choc Mutation

• Description: If you have this mutation, all your crops will look like frozen chocolates and have a shiny appearance
• Selling Multiplier: x2
• Obtainment Method: You can get this mutation by using the Chocolate Sprinkler next to your crops. (It was only available during the Easter Event 2025)

Celestial Mutation

• Description: All crops with the Celestial Mutation will have a discolored appearance with a shiny/sparkling yellow & purple glow.
• Selling Multiplier: x120
• Obtainment Method: Your crops will get this Mutation if one of the Meteor Stars strikes your garden during the Meteor Event. This event only occurs during the night and happens 1 in 3 nights.

Chilled Mutation

• Description: All the crops with this mutation will have a frozen look, like they have been kept in the fridge with ice around their body.
• Selling Multiplier: x2
• Obtainment Method: Your crops will get the Chilled Mutation when you get the Snow Weather on the server (completely random)

Disco Mutation

• Description: All of your crops will swap/change their body colors each second and feel like a Disco Ball.
• Selling Multiplier: x125
• Obtainment Method: This is an exclusive mutation that can only be acquired during the Disco Event triggered by the Admins. You can follow the Weather-Updates channel on Grow A Garden Discord to learn the timing of the next Disco Event.

Frozen Mutation

• Description: All the crops with this mutation will have a frozen look, like they have been kept in the fridge with ice around their body.
• Selling Multiplier: x10
• Obtainment Method: Your crops will get the Frozen Mutation if any Wet Crops are present in the SnowWeather for some time. So, you first have to get the rain on the server, followed by the Snow weather, to get the mutation.

Golden Mutation

• Description: This looks exactly like the standard version except that they are entirely golden in color and have a much higher weight.
• Selling Multiplier: x20
• Obtainment Method: 1% (random Mutation)

Honey Glazed Mutation

• Description: Crops/Fruits with the Honeyglazed Mutation with a glowing yellow tint.
• Selling Multiplier: x5
• Obtainment Method: The only way to obtain the Honey Glazed Mutation for your plants or crops is to add the Bear Bee Pet to your Garden. Once added, your plants will have a chance to get the Honey Glazed every 25 minutes in the experience.

Moonlit Mutation

• Description: Crops with the Moonlit Mutation will have a shiny aura and a purple appearance
• Selling Multiplier: x2
• Obtainment Method: The Moonlit Mutation can be acquired during the regular moonlit event, which happens every hour.

Plasma Mutation

• Description: All the crops with this mutation will have a neon pinkish appearance.
• Selling Multiplier: x5
• Obtainment Method: You can get this mutation if your crops/fruits get hit by the laser emitted from the eyes of the giant Jandel NPC during the Lazer Event.

Pollinated Mutation

• Description: All the fruits with the Pollinated mutation will have a yellow glow on their body. This differs from the golden mutation, where the body glows with a color change.
• Selling Multiplier: x3
• Obtainment Method: You can obtain the Pollinated Mutation during the Bee Swarm Event, which occurs every hour in the game. When the event is active, you will see several bees roaming around your Garden and will apply the Pollinated mutation to random fruits near its vicinity.

Rainbow Mutation

• Description: Your Crops will change colors each second and will have a tint of rainbow all over their body
• Selling Multiplier: x50
• Obtainment Method: 0.1% (random Mutation)

Shocked Mutation

• Description: Crops with the Shocked Mutation will have a glowing neon effect around the surface of the body and look bright
• Selling Multiplier: x50
• Obtainment Method: Your crops will get the Shocked Mutation if they get struck by lightning/thunder

Twisted Mutation

• Description: Crops or Fruits with the Twisted Mutation will have a smoky/foggy effect all over their body
• Selling Multiplier: x5
• Obtainment Method: The Twisted Mutation will be applied to plants/crops if they get hit by a Tornado Weather Event.

Void Touched Mutation

• Description: Fruits/Crops with the Void Touched Mutation will have a black aura over their body
• Selling Multiplier: x197
• Obtainment Method: The Void Touched Mutation will be applied to plants or crops during the Blackhole event, which spawns in the sky. During the event, a few of your crops or plants will be pulled towards the sky, and these crops will get the mutation.

Wet Mutation

• Description:  All of your crops will have water dripping from them and look incredibly soppy
• Selling Multiplier: x2
• Obtainment Method: Your crops will get the Wet Mutation when it rains on the server (completely random)

Zombified Mutation

• Description: All crops with the Zombiefied Mutation will have green fog around their body and will be dripping in
• Selling Multiplier: x25
• Obtainment Method: You can use the Chicken Zombie Pet to get this Mutation.

Best Mutations for Money Farming

If you aim to make money, then you should try to focus on getting the following mutation, as they will sell for quite a lot of money in the market.

• Celestial: This is the best way to make money as you sell your crop up to x120 times its original market price.
• Shocked: Similar to Rainbow, the Shocked Mutation also increases your crop price up to 50 times.
• Golden: The Golden is also another significant Mutation that can bring in 20 times your original crop price.
