In the tier list above, we ranked every evolved Mythic and Secret unit in Anime Crusaders, mid and end-game viable Legendary units, as well as the OP Crusader Units, based on their damage, SPA, range, passives, and utility they provide (buffs, slows, stuns, etc.). Epic and rare units are only useful early on. So, we decided not to include them in the tier list, except for a few that are good as supports. Here is a short overview of each unit and how to get their non-Evo version in Anime Crusaders:
S-Tier DPS Units
| Unit | Details | Non-Evo Obtainment |
|---|---|---|
![]() Akuzo vs Renkuro | Ground Hybrid Physical Water Fire + Has two elements + Amazing range + Inflicts a Burn DoT effect on enemies + Makes enemies take 15% more Physical damage + Attacks the strongest enemy in range with every attack + Insane damage potential against bosses − Insanely difficult to obtain | Global Banner |
![]() Beyond Heaven | Hybrid True Damage Lightning + Hybrid on placement + On placement Dio Over Heaven also applies Timestop to all enemies in Range, as well as allows him to ignore Shields + You can switch between four modes which either do Crowd Control (Slow and Stun) or boost Damage (extra Damage to CC enemies and Bleed) + Beyond Heaven can apply an additional Timestop to all the enemies on the map (so not just in range), dealing extra Damage and reducing the Cooldown + Even after Timestop ends, you will still have a Damage boost for a certain amount of time (only slightly less than the passive cooldown) − Limited to only one placement | Global Banner |
![]() Sun God vs Dragon | Ground Hybrid Physical Rose + Full AoE on placement and throughout all upgrades + Luffy and Kaido deal a burst of AoE damage before each attack + The longer enemies remain in its range, the bigger the Damage they take, so this unit would benefit from some useful Crowd Control Supports + The Toon World ability switches to True Damage + Even when you miss an attack (which will happen at an increased chance), you will gain additional buffs − You need to have both Sun God and Dragon to get this Evo unit, as well as complete a bunch of tasks − Toon World cleanses all CC effects from enemies and doesn't allow for additional application while it is active | Global Banner + Quests + Evo |
![]() Vegeto | Hybrid Magic Water Light + Can't be stunned and will stun the enemies back in retaliation (I am also that petty) + Deals extra damage and slows down enemies almost completely every 20 seconds + Good against bosses and more powerful enemies, since hitting the same enemy three times will reduce his cooldown time + Deals additional bosses to weaker enemies + Vegeto also executes non-boss enemies below a certain HP, which is very useful for Infinity Castle + Extremely high Damage and excellent Range for a pretty cheap unit to upgrade − Must have both Goko and Vejita on team | Goko and Vejita Fusion |
![]() Gilgamesh (The Golden King) | Ground Hybrid Magic Light + Increases Crit Chance and Crit Damage + He deals a lot of damage to Enemy Armor + Each way, Gilgamesh gets a Damage and Range increase (up to a certain point) + Enuma Elish is his nuke skill which deals triple his damage to all enemies in range + It also executes non-boss enemies below a certain HP, which is very useful for Infinity Castle + Extremely high Damage and excellent Range − The grind in the Bone King Raid can take a while | Bone King Raid |
![]() Yomomoto (Inferno) | Ground Hybrid Physical Fire + On placement deals Burn DoT + Deals additional damage just by having enemies walk closer to him, so you have to be careful when placing him to get the most of the path in the zone + Spawns a tornado which deals even more Burn DoT + He also spawns Skeletons on takedown + Excellent SPA and Range, especially with that additional Zone damage − Better on Infinite Stages especially with the Hybrid coming in on his second to last upgrade | Inferno Portal |
![]() Goko (Perfected Ultimate) | Hill Magic Light + When an enemy is in his range, Goko creates an afterimage of himself at the base of the hill which deals half his damage. + When he kills enemies there is a small chance that they will drop Ki Orbs for a Damage Boost + Extremely cheap to place and upgrade + He also spawns Skeletons on takedown + Excellent SPA and Range, especially with that additional Zone damage − Better on Infinite Stages especially with the Hybrid coming in on his second to last upgrade | Global Banner |
![]() Dracula | Ground Hybrid Magic Dark + Excellent damage, SPA, and range + Gains up to +25% damage and -10% cooldown when killing enemies + Applies a Bleed DoT effect + Enemies in his range take 10% more damage + Ultimate drastically increases his DPS and spawns 13 very strong summons − Extremely expensive to place and upgrade | Halloween Banner |
![]() Coyote (Number One) | Ground Hybrid Magic Lightning + Coyote has a double attack which attacks the last enemy in range, or deals extra damage when there is only one enemy in range. This is excellent for boss clear. + Very cheap to place and upgrade + Summons a wolf on takedown which deals damage upon death + Summons a beam for even more Damage, but it does have a big cooldown (as well as a damage reduction during it) − Starrk deals less damage compared to Yamamo, but he is also much cheaper so it evens out | Raid Wolf |
![]() Vejita (Majin) | Ground Magic Water + Excellent base stats + You have to pay money but you'll get additional Damage from it on your next attack. + Full AoE attack on max upgrade + Especially good for Tournaments − Needs Goku in range to make the most out of his abilities | Global Banner |
![]() Ayzen (Perfect) | Ground Hybrid True Damage + Ayzen stuns enemies whenever they enter and exit his range, as well as deals 100% of his Damage on exit. + Gains damage boosts in his full evo form + Applies Slow to all enemies in his range, as well as deals more damage to them + His Singularity passive also grounds all Flying enemies in range when activated, so pair him up with the best Ground units for that perfect timing + Breaks enemy shields as well − Can be a long grind for both Evos − Perfect Evo doesn't have any elements, but does he really need them with how OP he is? | Global Banner |
![]() Soi Fun (Death Sting) | Hill Physical Wind + Deals more damage every second attack + Gains even more Damage every time she takes down an enemy + She can execute enemies if their HP is pretty low + Pretty cheap to place and upgrade + Excellent Range and SPA − Needs Yoruichi on team to get cooldowns | Global Banner |
![]() Cell (Perfect) | Hill Physical Dark + Deals more damage on flying enemies + Turns into a full AoE unit pretty early in upgrades + Cell can absorb a unit and deal quite a bit of additional damage based on their cost. It's also good to know that even if you feed him a unit that's one-placement (like Twenty One or any other unit with Crusader), you can still replace that unit again once Cell ha absorbed i. + Extremely cheap to place and upgrade + Excellent Range − The attack does switch back to Cone damage (though it's a bigger one) | Global Banner |
![]() Rose | Ground Physical Rose + Highest base damage in Anime Crusaders + Places bombs on enemies, which explode in an AoE, dealing 300% of her damage + On placement deals 200% of her damage + Meta DPS for longer game modes and infinite − One of the most expensive units to upgrade in the game − Very long attack cooldown | Global Banner |
![]() Brulo | Ground Hybrid Magic Wind + Creates burst explosions with every 10th attack + Excellent damage and range + Deals more damage for every enemy inside his range + Meta Hybrid DPS unit − Very slow SPA − Expensive to place and upgrade | Global Banner |
![]() Maki | Ground True Dark + Insanely high base damage and relatively short SPA + Gains bonus damage and reduced cooldown for every enemy in her range + Collects souls when defeating enemies, which buff her damage and range + Every five souls makes her next attack deal 231% more damage − Short range | Boss Rush |
![]() Esdead (Ice Empress) | Ground Physical Ice + Excellent overall Stats + After every tenth takedown, Esdeath will summon a fallen enemy which will fight for her until death (again) + After this summon dies, she buffs allies in range, making her a good Support as well + Gets some great boosts when there are many Ice Element enemies in her range − Needs Ice Element enemies to thrive − Additionally, requires allies who cause Freeze or Stop for more buffs | Ice Empress Portal |
![]() Powaa | Ground Magic Fire + Amazing DPS and range + Applies Bleed to enemies on hit + At 500 takedowns, she can ascend and gain more AoE, Bleed damage, or become Hybrid + Very strong DPS unit overall − Not suited for short stages | Global Banner |
![]() Sin (Seven Seas) | Ground Physical Lightning + Sinbad gains plentiful of boosts and buffs through his Era switching passive + Once the Eras reach a full stack, he will gain all Era bonuses for 60 seconds + Buffs allies' Damage and Range or buffs his own Damage with Lux Noxia − If he buffs himself, then he is debuffing his allies | Christmas Banner 3 |
![]() Getu | Hybrid Summon Magic Dark + Amazing health and SPA for a summoner unit + Insanely good against bosses + Gains increased HP with every kill + Can hit flying enemies + Useful for dealing with leaks − Insanely expensive to place and upgrade | Global Banner |

![]() Freeran (Timeless Mage) | Hill Magic Wind + Excellent against Bosses due to her nuke Passive that instantly deals five times her damage if a Boss gets inside her Range + Frieren gains Mana after being placed, as well as with each attack + The Mana is used on spells which deal extra (quite a significant amount of extra) Damage, switches from cone to full AoE, as well as applies Black Flames | Christmas Banner 3 |
![]() Psycho | Ground Magic Lightning + Decent damage and range + Gains increased damage and range with every kill + Passively deals a percentage of his damage to all enemies in range + Can gain +50% Damage, become Hybrid, or grant all allies +20% damage + Very versatile unit overall − It takes a while for his passive to stack up − Requires micro-management, which makes him bad for AFK grinding | Psycho 99 Banner |
![]() Ishtall | Hill Magic Water + Ishtar has a Critical Chance and Critical Damage increase + Every time she lands a Critical Hit, Ishtall gets a small Damage and Range boost (up to a point) + Every time a new wave starts, she will gain one blessing which either buffs Damage, Cooldown, Range, or Crit Chance + If she gets the same blessing in a row, then the effects will be doubled | Global Banner |
![]() Spear (Vigorous Warrior) | Ground Physical Lightning + Excellent Damage, SPA, and Range + Pretty cheap to place and upgrade + Spear gains a massive Crit Chance increase, but he can only target the strongest enemy in range (useful against bosses) + After landing a Critical Hit, one of Lancer's Runes will boost either Damage, Cooldown, or Bleed Damage + Inflicts bleed on enemies in range − Nerfed by allowing only one Rune at a time instead of three at the same time | Global Banner |
![]() Toshiru (Glacial Captain) | Ground Physical Ice + Excellent Damage, SPA, and Range + If he is strongest in his own Range, then Toshiro gains a Damage and Range increase + With each attack he creates Water Bubbles that deal 40% of his damage + Can hit flying enemies with Water Bubbles, but he is still only a Ground unit and this isn't really consistent − Requires you to be very careful about where you are placing him − Has a limit of only three Water Bubbles at the same time | Christmas Banner 2 |

![]() Ichi (Masked Vizard) | Ground Magic Dark + Ichigo evo is pretty cheap overall + Excellent SPA, Range and DMG + Damage is even better due to the Crit chance increase from his Hollowfication Passive + When his Crit Chance is at max, he deals extra damage by activating Hollow Mask − While the Crit Chance allows him to deal extra damage, his kit is pretty basic, which is why he is in a lower tier | Global Banner |

How to Summon New Units in Anime Crusaders

You can obtain new units in Anime Crusaders by summoning them on regular and limited banners in the Summon area of the main lobby. Usually, each banner requires a different currency to summon units from it. Also, every banner has its own pity counter, which lets you get a guaranteed rare unit after a certain number of spins. Some units are obtainable in other modes, such as Raids, Infinity Rooms, Events, and Portals.
Evolving and Upgrading Units Guide

To evolve a unit in Anime Crusaders, you will need to collect specific materials and defeat a certain number of enemies with that unit. Most units require elemental stones to evolve them, which can be obtained from Challenge stages. Evolved units are much stronger, so it is recommended to evolve your mythic units as soon as possible.
There are several ways to improve your units, including rerolling their stats, traits, and curses. Traits and stat grades can significantly boost the DPS of your unit, and you can reroll them in the Evolve area. Curses can be rerolled at the Sukuna NPC. However, compared to traits, they are a double-edged sword because a bad curse can significantly reduce the DPS of your unit.
Anime Crusaders Tier List FAQ
The best units are Akuzo Vs Renkuro, Sun Woo (System), Zero, Kurimi, Claw, Brulo (Rage), King, and AI (Idol).
The best DPS epic units to bring with you are Killoa, Friezo, Genoz, and Speedcart, while the best legendary ones are Rose and Golden Freezo.
No, simply because Mythic and Secret units have way more DPS when evolved.
Sun God is essentially an Evo material for the Dragon, so that they can turn into one of the best units in the game Sun God vs Dragon. That is why you are unable to reroll either Stats or Traits on Sun God. Additionally, you can't Evo him either, as the Evo process goes through Dragon.
