Paradox Powers Tier List – All Shikai, Schrifts, and Resurrections Ranked

Shikai, Schrift, and Resurrection are the three power systems in Paradox, each exclusive to a different race. Soul Reapers wield Shikai (and unlock Bankai), Quincy use Schrift (and upgrade to Vollstandig), and Arrancar unlock Resurrection. Your power defines your entire moveset, so rerolling for the best one early is the single most impactful progression decision you can make. In this section, you'll find three separate tier lists for each power type.

One of the most important things to note about Shikai in Roblox Paradox is that rarity does not always equal power. Lightning is only Rare, yet it sits in S tier alongside the two best Legendary Shikai because of its outstanding PvP mobility and near-universal Guardbreaks. On the flip side, Shadow and Fire are both Common despite being the weakest options in the pool. If you roll either of them, prioritize spending Ability Rerolls as soon as possible.

For beginners, Wind is a solid placeholder. It offers a good range and decent combo potential, and it remains workable throughout mid-game progression. Once you're more established and have Rerolls to spare, aim for Gravity or Flower.

The Schrift pool in the current rerelease is smaller than Shikai, but the quality gap between the top and bottom options is wider. Fear is comfortably the best Schrift in Paradox and the one to target if you're playing Quincy. Deathdealing is the best all-rounder for both PvP and PvE, with strong AoE and ranged moves that make kiting and farming straightforward.

Explode is the only Rare Schrift and punches well above its rarity, with a two-part detonation mechanic and excellent mobility that reward skilled play. Check out our full Paradox Power Tier List for a complete breakdown of every Schrift move and Vollstandig.

Resurrection is the Hollow and Arrancar power system, and it has the most surprising rarity inversions of all three power types. Gunners and Bat are the two strongest Resurrections, both Legendary and both well-rounded for PvP and PvE. Gunners converts your M1 attacks into ranged shots when active, making it exceptional for combo-starting from a distance.

Heaven is the standout value pick: it's Common rarity with an 89% drop chance, yet it performs solidly at A tier with strong guardbreaks and a passive that adds bonus damage alongside debuff immunity. Divinity is the trap option for Arrancar players. Rolling a Legendary and landing Divinity is one of the more disappointing outcomes in the game, so reroll it as soon as you can.

Clans in Paradox give you passive stat buffs across three categories: Posture, Reiatsu, and Health. When prioritizing which stats to look for, the order is Posture first, then Reiatsu, then Health. Posture directly affects your guard and survivability in combat, Reiatsu powers your skills and ability damage, and Health simply adds to your raw HP pool. This is why clans like Kurosaki (+20 Reiatsu, +5 Posture) rank so highly, and why some Legendary clans with Health-heavy distributions fall below expectations.

The table above covers the top Soul Reaper, Hollow, and Quincy clans from our full rankings. For Quincy players, Nkk Le Vaar is the single best clan in the entire game thanks to its exceptional +30 Reiatsu alongside Posture. On the Soul Reaper side, Aizen, Kurosaki, and Yamamoto are the Legendary clans to target.

One noteworthy A-tier pick is Nodt, a Rare Quincy clan that gives +15 Posture, which outperforms several Legendary clans and is a strong choice if you can't land a Legendary. All Arrancar clan rankings and full stat breakdowns for every race are in our dedicated guide below.

Talents in Paradox come from a separate progression loop to Skills. You get them by farming Whispering Willows and taking them to the Inori NPC to convert into Talent Rolls. You can equip up to three Talents at a time, but only the main slot enhances the Talent's effect. The S-tier Legendaries are all strong enough to anchor that main slot.

A notable callout from this tier list: Compressive Force is only a Common rarity but earns an A tier because a flat 15% boost to Posture damage stays useful for the entire game. Similarly, rarity doesn't automatically lift a Talent either. Steady Ground is Legendary but sits in B tier because its effect is less impactful than the A-tier Rare options. For full synergy breakdowns and a complete list of every Talent in the pool, head to our Paradox Talent Tier List.

Skill Trees in Paradox work differently from Talents and Powers. You invest Skill Points earned through Potential into a stat tree (Hakuda, Speed, Sword, or Kido), and then unlock specific moves using a separate skill item. You don't automatically gain skills from investing points alone.

Hakuda is the strongest overall Skill Tree because it combines powerful active moves with passive M1 damage scaling, making it the best long-term investment for any melee-focused build, regardless of race. Speed is a close second, rewarding aggressive playstyles with excellent mobility, unblockable pressure, and strong Flashstep synergy.

Arrancar Kido earns an A-tier spot because it comes online very quickly, with block-bypassing moves available from just one Kido investment. Vizard sits in B tier not because the moves are bad, but because the unlock cost (5 Shattered Hogyokus) is steep for a single-skill tree with limited depth. For a full breakdown of every skill, unlock requirement, and stat-investment cost, see our Paradox Skills Tier List.

How We Rank – Factors Considered While Ranking

Here's a quick overview of everything we considered when building our Paradox tier lists:

  • For Powers (Shikai, Schrift, Resurrection): We ranked each power based on its overall performance across both PvP and PvE content. The key factors were combo potential, Guardbreak frequency, mobility, and how well each moveset performs before and after unlocking the upgrade form (Bankai, Vollstandig, or Full Resurrection). Rarity was not treated as a proxy for quality, which is why Common or Rare options like Lightning and Heaven rank as highly as they do.
  • For Clans: Clan rankings follow the priority order of Posture over Reiatsu over Health. Clans that deliver high Posture and Reiatsu bonuses consistently outperform Health-heavy options regardless of rarity tier, because survivability and ability damage scale better throughout the entire game. Race-specific differences are covered in full in the dedicated clan guide.
  • For Talents: We evaluated each Talent based on how consistently it delivers value in real PvP fights and PvE farming sessions. Talents that create tempo, reward good defensive play, or apply pressure passively rank higher than those with situational or one-note effects. Build synergy is also covered in the dedicated guide.
  • For Skill Trees: Rankings consider the full progression picture, including stat investment cost, passive scaling from invested stats, unlock friction (the resource cost of each skill item), and how each tree performs from early access all the way into late-game PvP. Race restrictions were factored in, but did not automatically lower a tree's ceiling if the tree itself is strong.

Paradox Tier Lists FAQ

How often does the Paradox tier list change?

The tier list is updated after every major update that adds new Powers, Clans, Talents, or Skill Trees, or after a balance change that meaningfully shifts the meta. We test changes before updating rankings, so expect a short delay after a new patch drops.

What is the best Shikai in Paradox?

Gravity and Flower are the best Legendary Shikai in Paradox, while Lightning is the top Rare option and punches well above its rarity in PvP. All three sit in the S tier for the rerelease meta.

What is the best Schrift in Paradox?

Fear is the best Schrift in Paradox for Quincy players. Deathdealing is the most well-rounded A-tier option for both PvP and PvE, while Explode is the strongest Rare Schrift available.

What is the best Resurrection in Paradox?

Gunners and Bat are the two strongest Resurrections in Paradox for Arrancar players. If you roll Heaven (Common rarity), do not reroll it right away, as it performs at A tier and is a solid choice until you can land a Legendary. Avoid keeping Divinity despite its Legendary rarity, as it underperforms every other option.

What is the best Clan in Paradox?

The best Clans for Soul Reapers are Aizen, Kurosaki, or Yamamoto. For Quincy players, Nkk Le Vaar is the strongest clan in the entire game thanks to its +30 Reiatsu and Posture bonus. When prioritizing clan stats, focus on Posture first, then Reiatsu, and treat Health as the lowest priority.

What is the best Talent in Paradox?

Master of Speed, Ultra Ego, Unrelenting Impact, The Dancer, and Blood Surge are all S-tier Talents in Paradox. Master of Speed is the most universally useful since extra Flashstep charges benefit almost every build and playstyle.

What is the best Skill Tree in Paradox?

Hakuda is the best Skill Tree in Paradox overall because it combines strong active moves with passive M1 damage scaling that benefits melee builds from the early game all the way to endgame PvP. Speed is the second-best choice, especially for builds that rely on Flashstep pressure and mobility.

That's our Paradox tier list hub for now. As new content drops in future updates, we'll keep all five rankings current, so make sure you bookmark this page and check back after every major patch.
