If you're a beginner looking to learn the basics of the game, here's a detailed guide that explains the entire gameplay loop.

How to Hide in the Game

Hiding is one of the most essential skills one should learn quickly after starting to play the game. Initially, when you start, you will hide in random locations that suit your interests, such as near a pot or any large object. While they are helpful to some extent, it is always advisable and desirable to hide behind smaller locations or near tiny objects.

For example, if you look at the image above, anyone's first instinct would be to hide behind the large brown shelf on the right side. However, that is not the best place, and in fact, you should try to hide behind the yellow and green shoe cover on the right side of the map, which is one of the most minor things in this room and would perfectly hide your character.

Similarly, you must locate individual small locations on each of the maps and select them as your hiding spot. There are plenty of such places on each side of the map, and you can find one as you gain more experience + gameplay time.

Along with finding a good spot, it is equally recommended to know when to shrink in size and when to expand to reposition much more easily. While getting smaller is helpful at any time, you should only return to your standard size when you are in a closed space or not near any seekers. The game, by default, informs you about the position of seekers on the map. So, use that information and grow back to standard size when necessary. Remember, you can only run at your maximum speed if you are in your standard size.  

How to Seek in the Game

Players, especially newbies, often assume that seeking is one of the easiest things to do inside the game. While it is valid to some extent, having in-depth information on all the map layouts is essential for easily finding players.

Since you are a beginner, the best way to go about it is to start room by room. So, once you turn into a seeker, go to the nearest room on your right side. After entering, search behind and inside every small and large thing you find in the room. Also, when searching, ensure that no one is moving around the room in your blind spot. For this, you have to start in the anti-clockwise direction and then stop in the middle, only to switch to the clockwise direction from the other end. If you perform your search and rescue operation in this manner, you will easily spot enemies quickly.

What is the use of items in Shrink Hide & Seek?

To make the gameplay more interesting and immersive, the developers have added various items for both roles. For the Hiders, you can use the Utility Power items like Slip, Heal, or Speed that enable you to survive much longer on the map, while the Seekers can utilize new weapons like Minigun & more to take down Hiders easily.
