In order to get charms, you have to learn all the Travelling Merchant locations in DIG as well as when he respawns. Lucky for you, we've managed to stalk him enough that we can give you all of the details on where he could be and when.
Where to Find Traveling Merchant DIG (Map Locations)

The Travelling Merchant in DIG can spawn anywhere on the map, especially in important locations like Verdant Vale, Rooftop Woodlands, and more. When the Merchant Appears, you will receive a server-wide notification saying, "The Traveling Merchant Has Moved to Landmark (Any POI on the map)."
Travel to that particular landmark to find the Traveling Merchant sitting inside a wagon near the central area. For example, if the Traveling Merchant has shifted to Fox Town, you will find the Wagon near the central fountain adjacent to the Charm or Bank POI.

Another way to easily identify the position of the Traveling Merchant is to follow the tags. Whenever the Merchant spawns, you will see a tag like the above image on the map. Simply take your vehicle and follow these to find the Merchant in DIG.
DIG Traveling Merchant Respawn Times
The Traveling Merchant spawns every 15 minutes on the server in random POIs. After spawning, he typically stays for 10 Minutes before disappearing. Generally, you can find at least one Traveling Merchant on the DIG map most of the time.
All Traveling Merchant Charms and Items List
The DIG Traveling Merchant mainly sells Charms and Shovels. You can see all of the items and their corresponding prices listed below. Remember, the shop is randomized, meaning that the item you are looking for isn't going to be available at all times. Check back in with the Merchant at a later time, or ask in the official Discord if someone has the Merchant on their server with the item you are looking for.

Best Items to Get at the Travelling Merchant
While all the items are great, I highly recommend getting the Cauldron Hat and Prismatic Shovel, as they are solid items that will enhance your overall character build to dig better items/fight bosses. Gold Digger is also a good cheaper option, but you might as well save up until you can get the Prismatic.
