However, it's important to understand that the Colossal Squid is categorized as a fish of the Mythic rarity. Mythic fish are the rarest fish in the game, and there is only one fishing rod that can boost your chance of catching one: the Mythic Rod.

Best Fishing Rods for catching Colossal Squid

As mentioned, the best rod to use is the Mythic Rod. The Mythic Rod boosts your chances of catching a Mythic fish by 30%. Let's not confuse Mythic fish with the Mythic Fish here - there is a fish in the game called a "Mythic Fish," which is pink in color and also from the Mythic rarity list. Of course, your chance of catching this fish would also be increased with a Mythic Rod.

The Mythical Rod can be purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 110,000C$.

The other two fishing rod recommendations are the Steady Rod and the Noctural Rod. Both of these rods are excellent because of their high luck stat, resilience, and capture weight. You can purchase the Steady Rod for 7000C$ in Roslit and the Nocturnal Rod for 11,000C$ in Vertigo.

If you're considering adding an Enchant, something like the Scrapper Enchant would be the best because it gives you a 60% chance to regain the bait you use on your rod, but the Colossal Squid doesn't have any bait requirements. That said, it's still a good idea to use bait because some can give you additional luck during a catch.

Bait

Unlike most fish types, the Colossal Squid does not have a favorite bait type that can be used to lure the fish in faster. This does mean that you can attach any basic bait of your liking on the rod to get the Colossal Squid, but there's a better way to use bait here.

Instead, use a bait like the Night Shrimp, Weird Alagae, or Super Flakes. All of these types of bait have higher luck stats, increasing your chance of reeling in a Colossal Squid while you're playing Fisch.

Time and Weather

Colossal Squid usually spawns in Fisch during the night time, especially in foggy conditions. So, ensure that your game meets these criteria before you make your way to Snowcap Island or into the deep ocean. Remember, you can try to fish for the Colossal Squid at other times as well, but the rate of catching one is much, much lower compared to fishing during the aforementioned conditions.

Colossal Squid Location

The best location to catch a Colossal Squid in Fisch on Roblox is inside the small cave on Snowcap Island. You can reach this cave from a small waterway on the island's right side at the island's entrance towards the left. Enter this cave, and you can start fishing for the Colossal Squid by standing on the first iceberg you see here. Traveling to Snowcap Island will require you to have a boat. Be sure to buy one before you do anything else.

This isn't the only location, though. You can also catch the Colossal Squid in the deep ocean. Sail away from all of the islands, towards the center of the map, and you'll be in a good enough place.
