For the past few weeks, I've been relentlessly playing Roblox Rivals, one of the super competitive shooting games. However, I observed that many players, especially the newbies, were committing silly mistakes due to which they were getting easily overwhelmed in firefights. Therefore, here's what I'd suggest to a typical Roblox Rivals player to get better at the game.

Tips and Tricks to Get Better at Roblox Rivals
Gameplay Mechanics
- Melee Attacks: Your knife has two attack options. A left-click deals 40 damage but a right-click to an enemy’s back delivers 150 damage—enough for an instant kill.
- Katana Defense: The katana isn’t just for slicing; it can also deflect bullets. If you learn how to use this properly it can be a lifesaver in gunfights.
- Positioning: Smart players use pillars and ramps to their advantage shooting from spots where they’re less exposed. Pre-firing at common enemy positions can also lead to easy kills.
Optimizing Game Settings
- Graphics Settings: Turning off shadows can help reduce lag and boost your FPS which is crucial for smooth gameplay. But keep the textures on to maintain good visibility.
- Field of View (FOV): Set your FOV to 100 for a wider view of the battlefield making it easier to spot enemies.
- Crosshair Customization: Tweak the thickness and shape of your crosshair to match your aiming style. A custom crosshair can really sharpen your shooting accuracy.
- Camera Shake and Effects: Turn off camera shake and FOV effects to keep your aim steady making it easier to track moving targets.
Movement Techniques
- Slide Jumping: This move is all about sliding and jumping right after you hit the ground. It’s a great way to move faster across the map than just walking around. If you get the hang of it your mobility during matches will skyrocket.
- Grenade Jumping: Want to get to higher spots or make a quick escape? Try grenade jumping! Hold onto a grenade throw it at your feet right before it goes off and boom—you’ll fly further than with a regular slide jump.
- Scythe Dash: The Scythe Dash is your ticket to quick repositioning. Pair it with some clever moves and you’ll be zipping around the map making it tough for enemies to pin you down. You can dash in different directions by hitting the right movement keys.
- Ramp Leaps: Slide jump off a ramp's edge to gain some height letting you spot and shoot enemies from angles they won’t expect. It’s a cool trick that can totally catch your opponents off guard.
- Flanking: Use the slide mechanic to sneak up on enemies. Sliding off walls or ramps helps you get close without making a sound giving you the upper hand in a fight.
