How to get a Katana in Slayers 2

Find out how to unlock the Katana!

In Slayers 2, katanas can be obtained by purchasing them from shops, as drops from special bosses and crafting them at the Hidden Mist Village. The first katana you can obtain is the Regular Katana, and you can find it at Raze's Shop at Windy Peak. The best one you can acquire is the Nightfall Katana, since it offers the best damage and respectable block stats.

Katanas are the trademark weapons in Slayers 2, since the most notable characters from Demon Slayer also use them. With that in mind, you will want to get your hands on one as soon as possible. To that end, we created this guide to help you get a katana in Slayers 2 and learn more about it, so keep reading!

There are two main ways of unlocking katanas in Slayers 2. The first one is to buy them from a shop, and the second one is to get them as dropped rewards for defeating special bosses. You can first buy one at Raze's Sword Shop, located in the center of Windy Peak (where you initially spawn). It is conveniently marked on the minimap, so you should not miss it.

You can buy two basic Nichirin katanas here: the Regular and the Fancy. The former costs 500 Wen, while the latter costs 1500 Wen. Realistically, you should be able to save up for the Regular katana quickly after completing several starter quests, so we suggest getting it as soon as possible. This is because it is much better to have at least some katana equipped than none at all, since the damage increase will be immediately noticeable and you can build your sword mastery right from the get-go, which will carry over to all other katanas you choose to use. Congratulations, you have obtained your katana in Slayers 2!

Some of the better late-game katanas must be crafted by spending a certain amount of money and materials. Don't worry too much, as the game will naturally guide you through that process when the time is right.

Additionally, we recommend skipping the Fancy katana from this shop, since the cost increase isn't nearly worth the minuscule stat boost it provides.

How to Get V2 Katanas?

Also keep in mind that, to craft your desired V2 katana, you must have its base form in your inventory as well. For example, crafting the Serpentine katana requires you to own the Serpent katana, and to craft the Volcanic and Tornadic katanas you need to have the Flame and Wind ones, respectively.

What is the Best Katana in Slayers 2?

The best katana is undoubtedly the Nightfall Katana, since it offers the most serious raw damage while also providing top-tier line block points and block regen. These stats reign supreme in Slayers 2. However, getting your hands on it will likely take a long time since it is an endgame katana, so we recommend choosing either the Wind, Sound, or Flame katanas, since they are the best possible boss drops.
