The Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge is the strongest pickaxe in the game right now. Thanks to its high Mine Power, you’ll want to get it as soon as possible to speedrun the Forgotten Kingdom grind and prepare for upcoming content (Island 3 and more). So, we’ve put together this guide that will help you get the Demonic Pickaxe.
Where is the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge
The Demonic Pickaxe is a late-game pickaxe that players can get in the Forgotten Kingdom. Follow these steps to get to the Demonic Pickaxe location:
- Teleport to the Forgotten Kingdom.
- Go to the Ruined Cave. Use the main entrance that is in front of Captain Rowan’s camp.
- Enter the Ruined Cave and follow the right path.
- Soon, you’ll reach Ashen Passage. Go right to enter the Ashen Passage.
- If you look straight ahead, you’ll see the Amber NPC and the Magma Pickaxe.
- On your right, you’ll see lava vines.
- At the base of those vines are two Basalt Veins. Break those Basalt Veins to find a hidden passage to the Volcanic Depths.
Once you drop down to the Volcanic Depths, head straight towards the right corner of the area. You’ll soon see a door with similar lava-covered vines on its sides. The Demonic Pickaxe is behind that door, and you'll need the Demonite Key to open it.
How to Get the Demonite Key in The Forge
To open the door in the Volcanic Depths, you'll need to get the Demonic Key by talking to an NPC named Skal and completing his quest. You can find Skal in the new cave area added to Volcanic Depths. Talk to him, and he'll ask you to bring three Demonites.
Demonite is a Mythical ore that you can obtain by mining the Volcanic Rocks spread across the Fogotten Kingdom. It has a 1 in 3,666 chance to drop, making it one of the rarest Ores in The Forge.
Once you have three Demonites, go back and give those to Skal. He'll forge a Demonite Key and give it to you. With the Demonite Key in your Inventory, go back to the door, and you'll now be able to unlock it by interacting with it.
Open the door and head inside to purchase the Demonic Pickaxe.

The Demonic Pickaxe has the highest Mine Power and Luck Boost out of all the pickaxes in The Forge, which makes it worth the $500,000 price tag. You also get 3 Rune Slots. If you have enough Miner Runes, you can transform the Demonic Pickaxe into a game-breaking equipment.
The Forge FAQs
The Teleporter helps you quickly travel between the different islands in The Forge. To get the Teleporter, you just have to complete all of Sensei Moro's quests at Stonewake's Cross island. Once you do that, you'll receive the Teleporter as a reward.
To break the Basalt Veins, you'll need the Mythril Pickaxe. If you don't have the Mythril Pickaxe, you can still get to the Volcanic Depth by glitching through a small opening, or if someone else breaks the Basalt Veins blocking the way.
If you're looking for extra power, the Magma Pickaxe is a good choice. However, the Arcane Pickaxe is currently the best pickaxe because of its Mine Speed Boost and a higher Luck Boost. You can enhance the Arcane Pickaxe and add Runes to get the power.
Right now, the best pickaxe progression path in The Forge is Platinum Pickaxe > Mythril Pickaxe > Magma/Arcane Pickaxe. Once the Demonic Pickaxe becomes obtainable, you should try and get it as soon as possible to grind the new content.
