The 2023 holiday season is finally here and Adoption Island is filled with so much cheer! For a limited time only, players can experience Winterfest in Adopt Me!, which has brought numerous new minigames and pets to the Winter Village, including the ultra-rare Gingerbread Mouse.

How to unlock the Gingerbread Mouse in Adopt Me!

The Gingerbread Mouse pet can only be unlocked by those who join/play Adopt Me! on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2023, and claim it from the Winterfest Advent Calendar. As mentioned in the official update log for Winterfest Week 4, this is the only day this pet will ever be available, so make sure you log on at some point during the day so you don't miss out!

For those unfamiliar with the advent calendar mentioned above, and those who have yet to start it, there's no need to worry, I'm here to help! To find it on Christmas Day and claim your free Gingerbread Mouse pet, you'll need to use the Arctic Express to travel to the Winter Village (or simply teleport there) and then look for the large house-shaped building pictured below—this is the Advent Calendar.

Each day (leading up to Christmas) that you interact with this calendar, you will unlock an exclusive, holiday-themed item. The numbered doors on the calendar can only be opened on the date the number corresponds with, meaning you'll only be able to open the 10th door on Dec. 10, the 21st door on Dec. 21, and so on. For this reason, the only day you can open the 25th door and claim the Gingerbread Mouse pet is on Dec. 25.

Luckily, the number of doors you've opened before the 25th door doesn't affect whether or not you can unlock this pet—even if the 25th door is the first door of the advent calendar you've opened, you will still unlock the Gingerbread Mouse just the same. If you have opened at least 20 doors by Dec. 25, though, you will unlock a special piece of bait that can be placed in a lure to attract an exclusive Pudding Pup pet.
