You can earn 10 Tickets in the Hollow Hub and get the Veil of Darkness UGC by claiming the Hollow Dress to Impress Badge. Dress to Impress has added an exclusive Lobby and storyline that you need to play to get the Badge. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get to the area, how to start the storyline, and everything else you need to do to get the Badge. So, let’s get started.
How to Start The Hollow Dress To Impress Badge Quest
To start The Hollow Dress to Impress Quest, follow the steps below:
- Launch Dress to Impress or teleport to it from the Hollow Hub.
- Click on The Hollow button at the bottom of the DTI Lobby screen. You’ll get teleported to the Halloween Area.
- In the Halloween Area, talk to Lana. After the dialogue is complete, you can exit the spawn room.
- Then, just follow the path to head down towards the river.
- Once you reach the docks, a cutscene will start. After the cutscene, create a party, select Chapter 1, and start the quest for the Hollow Dress to Impress Badge. You can play Solo or team up with friends to make things easier.
To complete Chapter 1, you need to make sure the ferry travels 180 meters. As the boat travels through the sea, you’ll also have to fend off monsters and keep fueling the lantern. Due to the multiple tasks at hand, I suggest playing with friends. But completing this alone is possible as well (just takes a bit longer).
How to Refuel the Lantern in The Hollow Dress to Impress Quest
The main objective to complete Chapter 1 is to get the boat to travel 180 meters. However, to keep the boat moving, you’ll need to keep the lantern fueled. When the journey starts, you’ll have 100% Fuel Storage. Interact with the Fuel Storage and then interact with the Lantern to fuel it.
Once the Fuel Storage runs out and the Lantern runs out too, the boat will stop. When that happens, you’ll need to collect Fuel Orbs. Get off the boat and explore the areas nearby to find and collect 10 Fuel Orbs. Once you’ve collected all 10, you’ll get teleported back to the boat, and the orbs will automatically get added to the Fuel Storage.
Take fuel orbs from the Fuel Storage and refuel the Lantern to get the boat moving again.
The lantern will run out of fuel twice. That means you’ll have to collect Fuel Orbs twice during this quest.
Note: While the boat is moving, Souls will attack it. Go near that Soul and hold E to push it away from the Boat.
At the end of the boat journey, get off and follow a white floating orb. When you reach the end, another cutscene will begin. You’ll get The Hollow Dress to Impress Badge. This is where you should leave the game, or you’ll have to sit through a long, unskippable cutscene.
How to Get the Veil of Darkness in The Hollow Event
To get the Veil of Darkness UGC from The Hollow Event, you need to first get the Dress to Impress Badge. Once you’ve obtained the Badge, go to The Hollow Hub and enter the lift. Go to Floor 5 and find the Dress to Impress area. Inside the room, you’ll see the Veil of Darkness on a podium. Interact with it, and you can claim the UGC Item (only if you’ve earned the Dress to Impress Hollow Badge).
