If you’re a fan of the iconic Mirror’s Edge game, you’ll most likely have a blast with Roblox’s latest parkour experience, Parkour Reborn. Still in alpha, the game already offers a variety of locations to explore and plenty of opportunities to show off your skills. In our Parkour Reborn beginner’s guide, you’ll find all the info you need before jumping into the game to make your experience as smooth as possible. Let’s jump straight into it. And I promise, I’ll stop with the jumping jokes.
Roblox Parkour Reborn Controls
Parkour Reborn features a lot of complex moves, so the very first piece of advice we have for you is this: don’t skip the tutorial! During the tutorial, you’ll learn all the basic controls and moves in your starting skillset, which you’ll later expand upon as you unlock new abilities. If you skim through the tutorial, you’ll quickly find yourself outside wondering, “What the hell am I even doing here?” With that said, here are the basic controls on your PC:
- WASD - Use to move around the map.
- SPACE - Press to jump, wall-run, hold for various objects, vault, and climb.
- SHIFT - When performing long or high jumps, press SHIFT just as you’re about to land. This will soften the impact, preventing you from taking damage or, even worse, dying.
- F - Press F to interact with various objects in the world. You’ll use it to talk with NPCs, open doors, use elevators, grab loot, start activities, and more.
- M - Press M to open the game’s map, where you can see all the locations you’ve discovered so far. From there, you can use the Navigator tab to toggle specific map elements on or off.
- J - This will open the Missions screen, where you can view all your currently active quests and track your progress on each one. You can also toggle quest tracking individually.
- N - Shows you available Loadout slots.
- B - Opens Inventory and Crafting screens.
How to Unlock New Skills in Parkour Reborn

The biggest gripe players have with this game has to do with how you unlock new moves. Parkour Reborn doesn’t follow the usual system where you unlock new skills as you progress through the game or invest points into abilities as you level up your character. The game originally started this way, but at some point during development, the system was changed.
In the current version, skills are randomly scattered across the map, and you have to find them through exploration; otherwise, you risk missing them entirely. For many players, this is considered poor game design, as it leads to frustration and can completely block progression in the later stages of the game.
Where to Find New Moves Locations in Parkour Reborn
Unfortunately, these are completely random most of the time. You’ll have to wander aimlessly and explore every nook and cranny, trying not to miss anything until you finally stumble upon new skills. This can be very tricky, as the maps are designed in such a way that it’s rarely obvious which areas are even reachable, let alone how to get there.
How to Craft Items and Gear in Parkour Reborn

Want to jump farther, run faster, and stay on walls longer? That’s where your gear comes into play. Parkour Reborn features a Loadout system for your character, where you can equip various items, ranging from utility gear like the Grappler to different wearables that grant all kinds of bonuses, such as increased jump distance and more.
So, how do you craft items in Roblox Parkour Reborn? To start, collect resources scattered around the map, from basic scrap and trash to more unique materials. You can also buy advanced crafting components from Vendors using either Robux or in-game tokens. Keep in mind that some unique resources do not respawn. Once you collect them, they won’t reappear on the map, at least not in the current version of the game.
Once you have some resources, open your inventory by pressing B, then select Crafting. You’ll see a hex-like shape with empty slots. This is where you need to drag your crafting materials and gear to create an item. As of now, these are the unique gear items you can find in Parkour Reborn:
- Cable Glider
- Pulse Generator
- Rail Trigger
- Magnetic Coil
- Aluminum Casing
- Bounding Fluctuator
- Magnetomotive Calibrator

Once you have enough resources, you can start crafting unique items that will help you greatly in traversing the world. You can craft unique utility items, and these will be essential for scaling some of the larger obstacles in the game, as it would be literally impossible to make some high jumps and wall runs without the help of utility items. What is Parkour Reborn The Net
To wrap things up, we strongly recommend using the in-game feature called The Net. You can access it from the in-game menu, and it functions as an in-universe browser; if you know what to type in, you can find plenty of interesting info. Whenever you’re unsure about some of the game’s moves, type 98.411.0/codex/home.gtms into the address bar, and a page listing all available moves will appear, complete with tips directly from the developers.
So there you have it, all the details you need to know before jumping into the action. Keep in mind, though, that this game is very beginner-unfriendly. It can be a confusing experience even for veteran parkour players, let alone newcomers. So make sure you have a solid understanding of how things work before diving in.
