Building a strong character in Slayers 2 means getting several choices right. Your clan provides bonuses and extra abilities, your Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art shapes your combat kit, and your weapon helps bring everything together. Our Slayers 2 tier list puts those choices in one place, with quick rankings and advice on what deserves your attention first.
The Ultimate Slayers 2 Tier List
These are preliminary rankings based on my experience with Slayers 2 during early access, as well as available information online and other players' experiences. They weigh versatility, offensive pressure, defensive tools, and build synergy rather than rarity alone. Entries within the same tier aren't ordered, and anything marked Unranked needs more evidence before it gets a fair placement.

Kamado is our best overall clan pick, with a broad mix of crowd control, damage conversion, and survival tools. Rengoku is particularly appealing for Flame builds, while Soyama and Uzui bring strong defensive and utility options. Himejima earns its place through damage marking, defensive buffs, and the ability to turn skill damage into stronger basic attacks. Shabana is the standout Legendary: its Blood Demon Zone buffs both you and your party, while Blood Poison adds another offensive threat. Supreme rarity doesn't have a monopoly on useful abilities.
PRO TIP: For individual skills, passives, rarity chances, and recommendations for each build, check our Slayers 2 Clans Tier List.
Don't overlook a good match further down the table. Urokodaki is an excellent Water option, combining extra Water damage, lower stamina costs, faster mastery, and damage reduction while wearing a mask. Sabito also supports Water and sword builds, while Ubuyashiki offers experience and drop bonuses alongside combat utility. The Uncommon clans have Family Bond passives, whereas Common clans rely on their stats. That's why I'd generally keep a useful specialist instead of burning every spin chasing a famous surname.

⇓ TO BE RANKED ⇓

Serpent
Wind and Thunder are our preliminary top picks for players who value mobility and offensive flexibility. Wind's launchers, follow-ups, and close- or long-range variations give it several ways to maintain pressure. Thunder's dashes and contact-based attacks make it an appealing choice for closing gaps and punishing openings. These placements reflect the tools in their kits; they aren't a claim that either style wins every damage comparison.
Water and Flame are strong alternatives with a useful mix of advancing attacks and broader coverage. Flame also has a counter in Flame Undulation, while Insect suits players who enjoy close pressure and aerial follow-ups.
PRO TIP: For the strengths, weaknesses, and recommended uses of each style, head to our Slayers 2 Breathing Styles Tier List. Pay attention to clan synergy before choosing: a style that benefits from your existing clan can be a better investment than starting over for a higher letter.
Sound brings an explosive moveset with projectile and rushing attacks. Stone sits lower in this general ranking because its heavy, close-range identity is more specialized, but it remains worth considering if that fighting style appeals to you. Serpent stays unranked until we can assess its current kit on the same footing. For more details, check out this breathing moveset reference.
Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts Tier List
⇓ META ARTS ⇓

Blood Manipulation

Ice Manipulation

Shockwave
⇓ VERY GOOD ARTS ⇓

Dream Manipulation

Reaper
⇓ DECENT ARTS ⇓

Arrow

Explosive Blood

Obi Manipulation

Tamari
Shockwave and Ice Manipulation lead our preliminary Demon Art rankings for different reasons. Shockwave combines aggressive close combat with a ranged opener, teleport follow-up, and counter, giving it an appealing set of answers when a fight changes distance.
Ice Manipulation leans into area control and freezing, with repositioning tools that make it an attractive alternative to simply charging at everything. Dream Manipulation is another promising control pick, using placed threats and targeted attacks to make space uncomfortable for opponents. Check out BloxInformer's Demon Art moveset for reference.
PRO TIP: Our dedicated Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts Tier List is the place for individual kit breakdowns and more specific recommendations. Here, the aim is to help you narrow down a playstyle before committing resources to it. Akaza cosplay is a perfectly understandable motivation, but it isn't a build plan on its own
Reaper is worth considering for a mobile, aggressive playstyle, while Arrow and Tamari reward players who enjoy displacement, projectiles, and timing. Their lower placement reflects a more specialized recommendation, not a reason to abandon a kit you enjoy. Blood Manipulation requires a Sickle, but that requirement alone doesn't establish its strength against the ranked arts. It stays unranked alongside Obi and Explosive Blood until we have enough comparable evidence.
Slayers 2 Weapons Tier List
| Preliminary tier | Weapons |
|---|---|
| A (promising kits) | Tanto Knife, Claws |
| Unranked; we need to test them | Flame Katana, Sickle, Stone's axe and flail, Sound's dual cleavers |
Tanto Knife and Claws are our first weapons to rank, based on their showcased movesets and some testing. Tanto combines a barrage, a steerable spinning advance, and a thrown attack with an on-hit follow-up. Claws offer close-range pressure with retreating and advancing movement built into their skills. Both have useful-looking tools, but their shared A placement is a provisional kit assessment, not proof that they outperform every style-specific weapon.
This is the least settled category. A Breathing Style's ranking doesn't automatically establish the ranking of its associated weapon, and we still need comparable weapon stats and performance to separate the remaining options properly. Build requirements also matter: a Blood Manipulation player needs to account for the Sickle regardless of which general weapon eventually tops the table. Prioritize equipment that lets your chosen build function before chasing an unrelated upgrade.
How to Use This Slayers 2 Tier List
Start with the combat style you actually want to play, then choose a clan and compatible weapon that support it. Synergy matters more than collecting S-tier labels. Water paired with a useful Water clan has a clear purpose; switching to an unrelated style just because it sits higher can mean giving up bonuses you already have.
These rankings also assume you're working toward a developed kit. Mastery, skill unlocks, and knowing when to block, reposition, or commit all affect what you can get out of a choice. Use the tables to decide what to explore, then use the dedicated guides to make the final call before spending your resources.
