I've ranked every available Slayers 2 Blood Demon Art below after testing their damage, mobility, combo potential, utility, PvE performance, and (perhaps most importantly) how dangerous they are against another player who actually knows how to fight back. My rankings are based on the complete package, rather than whichever Blood Demon Art can produce the biggest damage number in a YouTube showcase.

In general, my philosophy here is that an Art gets recommended when its attacks are easy to confirm, difficult to punish, useful at several ranges, or capable of forcing an opponent into situations where your next move becomes easier to land. The opposite is also true: enormous damage doesn't mean much if the attack takes forever to start and everyone can see it coming.

With all that said, please remember that what I express here is my personal opinion and preferences. While some points may be objective, others are subjective, and you're free to disagree and hold a different view of the current meta. Now that we've clarified that, let's stop the chit-chat and get right to my Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts Tier List:

Demon ArtEvaluation
SIce Manipulation

Also known as Cryokinesis

All-Rounder · Control · AoE

Kit:
Wintery Icicles, Cold White Princesses, Barren Hanging Garden, Freezing Cloud, Bodhisattva.
Best for:
Hybrid; grouped enemies and PvP control
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Douma for defensive repositioning; Shabana for coordinated group damage.
  • My best overall recommendation. Ice combines area pressure with close catches and range variants, giving it a persuasive answer to more situations than a purely melee or projectile kit. Its S placement rests on that flexibility, not the size of the Buddha.
  • Wintery Icicles creates a threat you can follow up. The second input erupts spikes beneath the target. That makes the initial zone useful for planning your next attack instead of chasing every dodge immediately.
  • Cold White Princesses is the defining control tool. It repositions into a restraint and freeze, with an alternate counter interaction during activation. Barren Hanging Garden and Freezing Cloud then offer different responses as the distance changes.
  • Douma supplies a valuable escape layer. Speed & Reflex can return you to a placed clone and clear stun or knockdown; Extrasensory Perception dodges three incoming attacks. These are clan benefits, not innate Ice defenses or an Ice-only damage bonus.
  • The catch is execution. Choosing the wrong range variant can spoil your plan. Freeze duration against bosses, exact counter windows, and guaranteed follow-ups still need testing, so do not assume the PvP control package locks down every boss.
SBlood Manipulation

Also known as Blood Sickle

Sustained Offense · Group Bossing

Kit:
TBA
Best for:
PvE and coordinated boss fights; PvP pressure
Difficulty:
Moderate, estimated
Synergy:
Sickle; Shabana for M1 poison and party support.
Unlock:
A Sickle is required in the early-access acquisition route.
  • S-tier, with lower confidence than Ice. Repeated-hit attacks and allied M1 follow-ups are its main PvE strengths. That is a meaningful reason to prioritize it for group bossing, rather than ranking it from its character association.
  • Build around shared damage windows. The practical aim is to let teammates contribute during your attack sequence. Whether each boss permits that overlap remains a test point; a barrage is not automatically a universal stun lock.
  • Shabana makes a compelling partner. Core Detachment supplies a team buff zone, while Siblings Bond rewards staying near allies. Both fit a coordinated damage plan, though neither is exclusive to Blood Manipulation.
  • Keep poison attribution straight. Shabana’s Poison Generation adds stacking percentage-Max-Health poison to M1s. That does not establish percentage-health scaling for Blood skills, and boss caps or immunities could change its value.
  • The unfinished part is move-level precision. A strong provisional PvE recommendation, but I need more testing.
AShockwave

All-Rounder · Counter · Burst

Kit:
Air Type, Compass Needle, Explosive Fury, Flashing Willow, Annihilation Type; Chaotic Afterglow variant.
Best for:
Hybrid; reactive melee and ranged-to-melee pressure
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Soyama for damage conversion and an additional counter; Kamado for control and sustain.
  • The closest A-tier pick to the top. Air Type converts a landed ranged attack into a teleport follow-up, helping solve the problem of reaching a target after tagging it. The hit must connect first; it is not free pursuit.
  • Compass Needle rewards reading an attack. Its counter launches with Crown Splitter, giving Shockwave a reactive option alongside offense. Keep this separate from Soyama’s Bell Splitter: they are two different counters.
  • Variants keep the kit adaptable. Explosive Fury changes with tap or hold, Flashing Willow with height, and Annihilation Type with distance. Chaotic Afterglow’s alternate use follows Compass Needle, adding another timing decision.
  • Soyama offers more than thematic synergy. Combat Intuition banks damage dealt into a later bonus, rewarding productive offense. Bell Splitter adds another punish opportunity, but a failed stance prevents attacks for two seconds while leaving block and dash available.
  • A-tier because those decisions carry commitment. A counter needs the opponent to attack, and a charged approach still needs an opening. It is a versatile recommendation, but its best theoretical sequence should not be mistaken for a tested universal combo.
ADream Manipulation

Control · Setup · Zoning

Kit:
Melodic Whisper, Ordained Flesh (also called Flesh Placement), Piercing Flesh, Flesh Barrage, Flesh Monster.
Best for:
PvP; deliberate placement and group-fight pressure
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Douma for recovering position; Shabana for fighting around a shared zone.
  • A strong control specialist. Dream earns A through the ability to pressure space and threaten a catch from different positions. It suits players who plan where an opponent will move rather than chasing them with every cast.
  • Melodic Whisper gives two distinct openings. At range, its projectile sequence includes a slow; nearby, it becomes a sleep pulse. Use the spacing deliberately, and avoid assuming sleep confirms every follow-up before its duration and wake rules are tested.
  • Placement turns pressure into opportunity. Ordained Flesh establishes a firing source, while Piercing Flesh rewards accurate cursor placement with a grab. Flesh Barrage and Flesh Monster add area threats that can complicate an opponent’s approach.
  • Douma helps preserve the game plan. A pre-positioned Speed & Reflex clone offers a return point if pressure reaches you. Shabana is another option for groups that can coordinate around a buff zone instead of scattering.
  • The tradeoff is dependence on positioning. Poor aim wastes the catch, and a moving fight can leave your setup behind. Boss sleep and grab interactions remain unresolved, so Dream’s PvP control does not automatically translate into top boss damage.
AReaper

Mobility · Close Pressure · Aerial Offense

Kit:
Reap of Despair, Diving Punch, Shindo, Phantom Step, Shindo Shrine.
Best for:
PvP; aggressive pursuit
Difficulty:
Moderate; high ceiling
Synergy:
Soyama for converting offensive uptime into damage; Kamado for close-range control.
  • A-tier for players who want to stay involved. Reaper’s movement-based attacks provide several ways to enter an exchange. The value is access to a target, not an assumption that afterimages make you invulnerable.
  • Learn Reap of Despair in both positions. The grounded version advances into an assault and knockdown, while the airborne version uses rotating slashes. Diving Punch adds a descending attack, so height changes which approach makes sense.
  • Use Phantom Step’s finish deliberately. Sending an opponent away can create breathing room, but it also changes the distance for your next attack. Shindo Shrine likewise depends on landing its initial approach before the finisher begins.
  • Soyama rewards successful pressure. Its Combat Intuition benefits from damage you actually land, making continued contact useful. Kamado offers a different route through close-range guard disruption and a short in-combat regeneration window.
  • The limitation is overcommitment. Chasing with every movement skill leaves fewer options for the next exchange. Reaper’s close-pressure identity is clearer than its farming efficiency, and no exact cooldown loop or guaranteed reset is assumed here.
BTamari

Also known as Temari

Projectile Pressure · Resource Sustain

Kit:
Spinning Throw, Tamari Dunk, Piercing Kick, Tamari Meteor, Spiraling Shot.
Best for:
PvE-oriented ranged play; specialist PvP builds
Difficulty:
Moderate; follow-ups require timing
Synergy:
Susumaru for stamina returns; Susumaru/Yahaba party bonuses.
  • B-tier, with a useful specialist build. Tamari offers ranged checks and committed damage tools, but its chain of aimed hits makes it a less forgiving general recommendation than Ice. Susumaru improves the sustained-play case considerably.
  • Start with Spinning Throw’s utility. The tap applies a slow on hit, helping pressure movement before another aimed attack. Holding produces a larger volley, but spending longer preparing it needs a suitable opening.
  • Separate setups from finishers. Tamari Dunk offers a stun-and-explosion sequence; Piercing Kick enables another input after contact. Spiraling Shot carries its victim away, so plan around where the sequence ends instead of assuming another melee hit fits.
  • Susumaru changes the resource equation. Landing a Tamari skill restores 5% Max Stamina and grants a short damage bonus. Accuracy can therefore support sustained offense, though the passive does not prove separate refunds for every projectile hit.
  • Misses hurt the whole plan. Losing an aimed hit also loses its potential follow-up and clan refund. Tamari Meteor requires cursor placement, while mobile opponents make that task harder. Keep stamina for defense rather than spending everything on the volley.
BArrow

Also known as Arrow Manipulation

Displacement · Aerial Positioning · Range

Kit:
Arrow Flight (two functions), Arrow Eruption; remaining current move TBA.
Best for:
PvE-oriented spacing; coordinated control
Difficulty:
High
Synergy:
Yahaba for stamina regeneration and a close-range pulse; coordinated ranged teammates.
  • A useful B-tier control pick. Arrow manipulates distance and elevation, but has slow, readable setup in PvP. That makes it easier to recommend for planned encounters than reactive dueling.
  • Arrow Flight gives a different angle. Its elevated movement can change your approach and positioning. It does not prove permanent safety from melee, unlimited flight, or protection from attacks reaching upward.
  • Displacement needs teamwork. Arrow Eruption and the ranged target-lift tools alter where the enemy sits. That can create opportunities, but it can also move a target away from an ally’s attack if nobody coordinates.
  • Yahaba supports longer exchanges. Arrow Regen grants stamina regeneration speed after an Arrow skill lands, while Disruption Pulse adds a nearby knockback and debuffs. This is regeneration support, unlike Susumaru’s instant Tamari refund.
  • Boss behavior can change its value. If a target resists movement, the displacement plan contributes less. Do not assign a guaranteed farming loop or PvP follow-up without checking the specific attack, terrain, and opponent.
BObi Manipulation

Duelist · Mix-ups

Kit:
TBA
Best for:
PvP; specialist dueling
Difficulty:
High, estimated
Synergy:
Shabana for nearby-party support; Douma for defensive recovery. No exclusive Obi multiplier established.
  • B-tier as a provisional duel specialist. Its mix-ups are more favorable over its PvE performance. That supports a focused PvP recommendation, but not a claim that it dominates every matchup.
  • The practical goal is to vary your threat. A mix-up only helps if the opponent must respect more than one option. Exact guard breaks, grab rules, and attack cancels still need move-level evidence before naming reliable routes.
  • Shabana supports coordinated play. Siblings Bond rewards staying near a party member, and Core Detachment adds a temporary buff zone. These are broad group tools; the clan is not evidence of an exclusive Obi damage passive.
  • Douma is a defensive alternative. Its clone return can recover your position after a bad exchange. That helps a duelist survive mistakes without attributing the clan’s escape or stun removal to an Obi skill.
  • Keep the ceiling open. A practiced player may get more from the kit than this broad placement suggests. Full current moves, recovery, and PvE rotations remain missing, so B is a cautious placement rather than a measured limit.
BExplosive Blood

Also known as Blood Burst

Conditional Burst

Kit:
TBA
Best for:
Players who capitalize on secured openings
Difficulty:
Moderate, estimated
Synergy:
Kamado for an extra close-range opening; general Demon Art damage and stamina support.
  • B-tier for damage that needs an opening. It has escape gaps through blocking or dashing in parts of the kit. That limits how much value a promising damage sequence has against an opponent who can respond.
  • Make the opponent commit first. The recommendation is to punish an exposed target or work with allied control. A large visual effect alone cannot prove a lingering hitbox, guard break, or uninterrupted combo.
  • Kamado offers an additional setup tool. Headbutt knocks the target down and disrupts its guard for three seconds. Whether a particular Blood attack fits that window still depends on its startup and the target’s recovery.
  • Build for another exchange. Useful damage is only part of the picture; keep resources for movement and survival after a missed opportunity. Exact skill costs and scaling do not yet justify a numeric stat allocation.
  • The uncertainty is specific. We still need things like which attacks permit escapes, and how those windows behave against bosses. This placement does not assume self-damage, innate lifesteal, or percentage-health explosions.
C Tier: No placements currently. There is not enough comparative evidence to call any of these arts broadly outclassed.

What Is the Best Demon Art in Slayers 2?

Ice Manipulation is my strongest overall recommendation. Its combination of area threats, catches, range variants, and a counter interaction gives it a flexible foundation for both player fights and groups of enemies. It asks you to manage distance carefully, but that technical ceiling is part of its appeal.

For a coordinated boss-farming group, Blood Manipulation is the other S-tier choice. Its current recommendation relies more heavily on launch-day performance, so the exact move-by-move boss rotation still needs testing. Shockwave is the next option I would consider if you prefer a more direct offensive kit with a counter available.

Best Demon Arts by Playstyle

  • Flexible control: Ice Manipulation. Learn the close and ranged variants before attempting longer strings.
  • Group bossing: Blood Manipulation. Coordinate damage windows rather than fighting as separate solo players.
  • Reactive aggression: Shockwave. Capitalize on ranged contact and well-timed counters.
  • Setup-focused PvP: Dream. Cursor placement and anticipating movement matter more than frantic casting.
  • Mobile melee: Reaper. Track where each entry and finisher leaves you.
  • Clan-supported projectile play: Tamari with Susumaru. Successful skill hits provide resource support as well as damage.

How These Demon Arts Are Ranked

  • S: The leading overall or specialist recommendations, with an unusually valuable combination of combat tools or practical build potential.
  • A: Excellent arts that can compete at the top within their strengths, but make a narrower overall recommendation.
  • B: Viable arts with useful niches, greater setup demands, or meaningful consistency concerns.
  • C: Arts with established practical shortcomings severe enough to make them broadly outclassed. The evidence does not justify a placement yet.

Rarity, lore strength, visual spectacle, and unlock difficulty do not earn ranking points. A difficult art can still rank highly when its tools reward achievable execution. Clan actives and passives contribute to a build recommendation, but they remain separate from the Demon Art’s own kit.

Specific startup frames, recovery times, hyper armor, invulnerability windows, and damage-per-second comparisons are omitted where they have not been established. A built-in attack follow-up does not prove a guaranteed combo across separate skills, and boss resistance can change the value of a grab, freeze, or displacement tool.

Choosing a Clan and Spending Skill Points

Look for an interaction you will actually use. Susumaru’s Tamari refund and Yahaba’s Arrow regeneration directly support those arts. Soyama rewards damage dealt, Douma offers defensive recovery, and Shabana supports nearby allies. Those broader kits can work across several arts instead of being locked to their associated character.

Unlock your art’s essential attacks, keep a practical basic-attack or weapon follow-up, and leave room for movement and survival. Without current node costs and scaling tests, an exact numeric allocation would be guesswork. Likewise, a percent-health clan effect should not be treated as uncapped boss damage until tested.

How I Rank Blood Demon Arts in Slayers 2

A good BDA needs to do more than win against a training dummy. For the final rankings, I'm looking particularly closely at how reliably each Art creates opportunities to deal damage. A move that deals slightly less damage but consistently catches opponents, starts combos, or leaves you safe afterward can be much more useful than a gigantic attack that rarely lands. My main criteria are:

  • How difficult the Art is to use consistently
  • Damage and burst potential
  • Combo starters and extensions
  • Range and ability to pressure opponents from neutral
  • Mobility and gap-closing tools
  • Stuns, freezes, slows, knockdowns, counters, and other utility
  • AoE and performance against groups
  • Boss performance
  • PvP pressure and matchup flexibility
  • Cooldowns and resource efficiency
  • Risk versus reward
  • Skill-tree upgrades and passives

PvP and PvE won't always produce the same answer, either. A huge AoE attack may be fantastic for clearing NPCs but mediocre against a player who can simply dodge it, while a counter or displacement ability might be far more valuable against another player than during routine grinding.

Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts FAQ

What is the best Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2?

Ice Manipulation is my best overall pick in these preliminary rankings. Its combination of area attacks, catches, a counter, and close-range and ranged variants makes it a flexible choice for both PvP and PvE. Blood Manipulation is another S-tier option, particularly for coordinated boss fights.

How many Blood Demon Arts are in Slayers 2?

The launch roster includes nine Blood Demon Arts: Ice Manipulation, Blood Manipulation, Shockwave, Dream Manipulation, Reaper, Tamari (also spelled Temari), Arrow, Obi Manipulation, and Explosive Blood. These are also referred to as Evil Arts.

What is the best Blood Demon Art for PvP in Slayers 2?

Ice Manipulation is my strongest overall PvP recommendation thanks to its control tools and flexible attack options. Dream Manipulation is a strong alternative for players who prefer setting up catches and controlling space, while Reaper suits aggressive pursuit. Shockwave is another excellent choice if you enjoy countering attacks and converting ranged hits into close pressure.

What is the best Blood Demon Art for PvE in Slayers 2?

Blood Manipulation is my preliminary pick for coordinated boss farming, with repeated-hit attacks that let teammates contribute damage during shared openings. Ice Manipulation is the broader recommendation for fighting groups of enemies, thanks to its area coverage and range options. The best choice can change with the boss and your party setup.

Are Project Slayers Blood Demon Art rankings still accurate in Slayers 2?

No. Slayers 2 has reworked Blood Demon Art movesets and a different combat system, so the original game's rankings and combo routes shouldn't be carried over. Familiar names don't guarantee familiar performance: returning arts need to be evaluated alongside the sequel's mechanics, clan synergies, and balance changes.

And there you have it, my complete Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts Tier List. Keep in mind that these are preliminary rankings, and as I continue playing the game and learn more about the meta, I'll make adjustments where needed and tweak both rankings and my evaluation.
