How to play Banjo in Dead Rails
Instead of using a dedicated key layout for the Banjo, the developers have merged the music mechanics with camera movement to play the instrument. Currently, it has five different notes, and you can find details about playing these five notes using Camera Angles from below.

- Note 1 - point your camera fully down, right behind the banjo

- Note 2 - point your camera a little above ground

- Note 3 - point your camera at chest level

- Note 4 - point your a little above chest level

How to get Banjo in Dead Rails
The easiest way to get a Banjo in Dead Rails is to select the Musician Class to get a Banjo for free at the start of the game. If you don't have the Musician Class, you can always buy one from the General Store for $20. Usually, they don't appear in the Starter Town General Store, but you can find them in plenty as you progress to other Towns. Apart from these, you can always find Banjo as a random loot item while scavenging in any of the buildings on your way.
