The Type Soul Hell Update comes with a new race called the Fullbringer (including a free slot for everyone to try it out), which is why we are going to help you out with our progression guide. This guide will tell you how to get Fullbringer and unlock the three moves to start the progression journey.
How to Become a Fullbringer in Type Soul?
Unlike the other races in Type Soul, becoming a Fullbringer is a slightly more straightforward process. To become a Fullbringer, you simply have to launch Type Soul and start a new game using the free save slot that has been provided to everyone. If you haven’t used up the previous three slots, you can use one of those as well.
On the character creation screen, choose Fullbringer, select the gender, set the name, and confirm to drop into Karakura Town as a Grade 5 Fullbringer. As a Grade 5 Fullbringer, you won’t have access to any Fullbring moves/skills. For that, you have to progress to a higher Grade by completing missions, talking to an NPC, and clearing a trial mission.
The Fullbringer race has the same grading system as the other races - you start with Grade 5 and can progress up to the Elite Grade, unlocking new skills and earning skill points along the way.
How to Get Fullbring in Type Soul?
To progress as a Fullbringer and unlock the abilities in Type Soul, you have to do the following things:
- Get to Grade 2.
- Talk to Elek Ginjo.
- Travel to the Inner World.
- Complete the Fullbring Trial.
Read on to learn more about how to complete these steps and get a few tips and tricks that will help speed up this grind.
How to Get to Grade 2 Fullbringer

As mentioned above, you’ll start your Fullbringer journey at Grade 5. From there, you must progress to Grade 2 by clearing different missions from the various Mission Boards of Karakura Town.
So, you simply walk up to a Mission Board, tap on a mission, and wait for the game to teleport you to the mission location. You can go solo on these missions or clear them with a party to speed up progression.
Gripping other players or killing NPCs won’t add to your Fullbringer Grade progression, so it’s best not to waste time there and focus on clearing 15-20 missions as quickly as possible.
The small bar above the Items will fill up every time you complete a mission. When it hits 100%, you’ll go from Grade 5 to Grade 4. Keep playing Mission Boards to get to Grade 2. Make sure to learn new skills from the skill tree using the skill points you earn along the way.
Also, learn and equip the free skills like Soul Style (Kido), Flash Step (Speed), and Call Xcution (Special). These will really help you during the Grade 5 to Grade 2 grind.
Where to Talk to Elek Ginjo

Eleck Ginjo is the NPC in Type Soul that players must talk to if they want to unlock their Fullbring skills. Once you become a Grade 2 Fullbringer, go and talk to him. He is located in the Fake Karakura Town. Use Call Xcution to travel to Fake Karakura Town. Once you are there, press the comma button to trigger location pointers. Now, you can find all Mission Boards, NPCs, and Bounty Boards by heading towards their name on the screen.
The short dialogue with Elek Ginjo is vague and doesn’t tell you what to do. After the dialogue ends, you have to fill up the right-most bar out of the three located in the bottom-right corner of your screen. This bar fills up when you defeat enemies (all types of enemies will work) or meditate. The best way to fill it up quickly is to clear more Mission Boards.
How to Travel to the Inner World
Once the bar is full, it’s time for the Fullbringer Trial in the Inner World. Press M to start meditating and teleport to the Inner World. Here, find and talk to an astral version of yourself. After the dialogue, you’ll have to defeat 4 waves of enemies.
- Wave 1: 3 Friskers and 1 Fishbone.
- Wave 2: 1 Menos and 3 Fishbones.
- Wave 3: 3 Friskers.
- Wave 4: 1 Adjucha.
While the enemies are easy enough to kill, what makes this trial a little tough is the time. You must defeat all waves of enemies before the right-most bar (the one you filled up to enter the Inner World) is depleted. If you fail to do it, you’ll have to meditate and start the whole Fullbringer Trial again.
To ensure victory, go for a ranged build. Learn and equip the Reishi Spike (requires 8 Kido) from Kido in the Fullbringer Skill Tree. After you defeat all four waves of enemies, your astral version will appear on the map again. Talk to him and he’ll unlock your Fullbring abilities and send you back to Karakura Town.
