Type Soul Hell Update Patch Notes – New Content, Race, Crafting & More [Rerelease]

It's getting pretty hellish in Type://Soul.

Type Soul is the Bleach-inspired game we've all been waiting to rerelease and it's finally here with its Hell Update. We've assembled the Type://Soul Patch Notes for you so you don't miss out on anything new that's been added to the game.

Type Soul The Hellverse Area

The Hell Update in Type://Soul, unsurprisingly, has added new areas called Hell where you can end up with your data lost or locked. If you see a Soul Wisp (a new mechanic), that means you are in Hell and in danger.

The Soul Wisps represent your lives. If you run out of them, you will get locked in Purgatory. At this point, there are two ways you can escape and save this slot:

  • By fighting yourself - the stronger you are, the more difficult the fight is. Keep in mind that every time you fight yourself, the next time it will multiply. If you defeat yourself once, the next time you'll have to fight two of yourself.
  • By purchasing a dev product - this item will release you from Purgatory without having to fight yourself, and you'll reset the NPC count back to one (so the next time it won't multiply).

Hellverse may be extremely dangerous, but the only way you can actually lose lives is through PvP. If you see another player, brace yourself for a fight and make sure you can win. On the other hand, the environment, mobs and anything else will not take your life.

There is also a way to restore Lives before you get sent to Purgatory. By killing one Hell Mob, you'll restore one of your lives back. Everything definitely sounds hellish, but the new content will especially provide a big challenge to veteran players.

Type Soul New Race Fullbringer

Everyone will receive a completely free slot to try out the new Type://Soul race, Fullbringer. This is one of the most important additions to the game, as it allows the players to explore a completely new playstyle, and for free.

Type Soul Race Changes

Apart from the addition of the new race Fullbringer, you will also see the adjustment of the other three races in Type Soul. These have all been tweaked relative to each other, meaning that they should all be properly balanced, and will most definitely shake up the game meta, especially in Ranked.

Game Mode Changes - Culling Games, Soul Wars and More

Culling Games are the new faction-based game mode added which features up to 10 players on a team. Based on your overall strength (including visored, letzt, vasto, Bankai and True Bankai), you will getting some points. When you grip players, you get points which you can use in the shop to take control. You win if you have the most points.

Soul Wars is a casual and competitive PvP mode which includes 20 Characters, 6 DLC Characters and 1 Battle Pass character for your use with their various lore. You can use them to compete against enemy guilds.

Another casual mode is Reiatsu Bomb, where one team gets the bomb, while the other tries to diffuse it. Conquest, a competitive game mode, is yet to be added, but we are definitely excited to see what exactly it will contain.

Type Soul Crafting

If you like Minecraft and their entire crafting system, you will definitely like the new crafting system in Type Soul too, since it essentially matches it. You have to place the right materials in the right spot, or it won't work. You can craft:

  • Items
  • Skills
  • Artifacts

Ranked Rework in Type://Soul

Ranked as well as Clan Wars are now one game mode, but they do keep their separate loot pools. Ranked points are removed, and you'll get Rewards once a match is done and won.

AFK World Changes

The AFK World now drops cosmetics, which we all love, but there is a chance that you can also get:

  • Flashstep Color Rerolls
  • Locked Weapon Reroll

Misc Changes and Balances

As promised by the devs, this isn't just a small update to rerelease the game. Type://Soul has been throroughly reworked, so you can expect a lot of miscellaneous changes in the game. You can see the full list of everything that has been adjusted below:

  • All Item pools have been reworked and each game mode, raids, ranked, clan wars, soul wars, arena, afk world, and Hell have their own loot pools now. Instead of you being able to get any item anywhere.
  • Arrancars have been set back to 1 Partial
  • Partial Essence now resets the cooldown of your partial if you land Cero Oscuras.
  • All Reiatsu regen on accessories have been removed
  • Quincy cybernetic now prevents you from using letzt
  • Letztstil no longer gives you a health pack
  • Medallions removed (will return)
  • If you have True Bankai you can no longer get your Bankai stolen by a medallion
  • Shikai Stasis now has its damage debuff back (5% less damage instead of 10%)
  • Arrancar passive rei regen reduced from 10% to 3%
  • Quincy passive rei regen reduced from 10% to 3%
  • Shinigami passive rei regen reduced from 10% to 3%
  • If you had an ultra skill it is removed from your inventory
  • Ultra Skills and Essences now share the same slot, you can no longer have both
  • If you have Air hakuda, All Style Manual crits should uptilt again only if you have the air path. (Except for wrestling)
  • Star Flash Super Nova uses percentage posture now so it 100% gbs (superstar Z move)
  • Sonata Flow guard breaks now (uses percentage posture now)
  • Weight Shikai buffed passive stacks in base & bankai
  • Weight Shikai Twin Heft cd 17 to 11
  • Weight Shikai Twin Helf damage buffed 15 to 20
  • Weight Shikai Reaper's hook damage 12 to 25
  • Weight Shikai Reaper's hook cd 18 to 14

  • Star Eagle Kick in volt does 4 headbutts instead of 1 and its slightly faster
  • New Addon to Miracle Revive: Miracle Presence When miracle revive starts, a wave of Divine Presence will happen (1 tick) and when user gets up 2 more waves will happen (2 ticks), each time the user revives, the last 2 waves will increase by 2 The Divine Presence waves that happen in the revive do half the dmg/posture dmg and have only 10% of the stun (also they dont give mode back)
  • Changed how Super Star revive works: The revive doesn't have a limit anymore (it was 1 revive per pop) but each time the user revives their health gain is reduced by -25% (first revive u heal 100%, then 75% etc etc) and it has a 10s cd (each time u revive the cd is increased by 1)
  • Pressure shift windup increased 0.15 > 0.25
  • Pressure shift endlag increased 0.9 > 1.1
  • Snow Z -50 parryable dodgeable counterable and counter duration almost halved
  • Snow X -50 no longer has hyper armor so its parry cancelable
  • Hakuda Negation counter orb is now parryable / evadeable
  • Hakuda Confliction windup increased
  • Duality switch no longer resets cd of your moves
  • Dodging on dodge variant no longer resets your dodge cooldown. (If you perfect dodged something with dodge variant regardless if active you could immediately dodge again.)
  • Orlando furisio damage reduced from 90 to 45
