Where to find Bella’s ring in Secrets of Grindea – Slime & Ring quest

An interesting side quest with a questionable reward.

Slime & Ring is an early sidequest in Secrets of Grindea, but its vague directions make it confusing to complete. Here's where you can find Bella's ring for the Slime & Ring quest in Secrets of Grindea.

To start Slime & Ring, talk to Bella in Evergrind City. You'll find her in the northwest side of town, left of the entrance to the Collectors' HQ. She'll tell you she lost her ring somewhere in Pillar Mountains and ask you to find it for her. However, Bella won't name a specific area in Pillar Mountains, and the quest tab in your menu won't give you any hints either.

Pillar Mountains is northeast of Evergrind City; you passed through it on your way out of Startington. It's a large area, and the ring doesn't spawn in a set location. To get Bella's ring, you'll need to search all of Pillar Mountains for a green slime that has the ring inside of it (pictured above). This slime is easy to miss, as aside from the faint outline of the ring, it is visually identical to the other slimes in Pillar Mountains. Look for the slime and defeat it to obtain Bella's ring.

Once you've obtained the ring, head back to Evergrind City and speak to Bella again. She'll state the ring is covered in slime and decide she no longer wants it, allowing you to keep it. Called the "Slimy Ring," the item takes up an accessory slot and offers a +5 increase to your DEF stat. It's a solid early-game item that will help you deal with the stronger enemies in Evergrind Fields and the Pumpkin Woods, but feel free to sell it in exchange for the accessories available at Ruby's Rubies.
