How to get the Sims 4 Infant Update on PC & Console
For PC users, the Sims 4 Infant update will automatically download after you log into your EA play application. The free update comes in at a whopping 10.82 GB, so make sure you have enough memory space before booting up the program. If your download doesn't automatically start, click on the Sims 4 icon that is under your Installed Games sidebar, and click "check for update" to manually install it.

On PlayStation 5, the Sims 4 Infant Update can be installed by booting up the game while connected to an internet connection. The major update will download automatically after starting the game from your PlayStation 5 home menu. If you need to manually install it, hover over the game's icon and click the "options" button on your controller. From here, select the "Check for Update" option to force the patch to download.
The Sims 4 Infant Update can be installed on Xbox by clicking the Xbox button on your controller and selecting "My Games & Apps" from the menu. Next, click the "See All" tab and find your Sims 4 game in your library. Lastly, hover over the game's thumbnail and click the options button on your controller to select "Check for Updates" to install it. For most players, though, the highly-anticipated Sims 4 Infant Update will automatically install without needing to do anything, as it's a free update to the base game.
