How to play Sims 4 offline

Sometimes, for one reason or another, you don't have access to the internet. And when that happens, you might feel a bit lost on how to play your favorite games. The Sims 4 is a game that seems especially useful to play offline due to its single-player style. In fact, other than uploading to the Sims 4 gallery, the game really doesn't need the internet. But can you do it?

Can you play The Sims 4 offline?

In the past, players would use the Origin client to play The Sims 4. On Origin, you could change the settings to allow for offline play. In late 2022, however, EA moved The Sims 4 to the EA App from Origin. Sadly, one of the changes that came with it is the offline/online capabilities. With the implementation of the EA App, you cannot play The Sim 4 offline.

Is there really no way to play The Sims 4 offline?

I understand the desire to play The Sims 4 offline, especially when you're going long stretches of time without the internet. It's great if you need to unplug on a road trip or if you're experiencing a power outage. Unfortunately, the EA App does not support any kind of offline play for The Sims 4. This could change in the future, but EA has not confirmed or denied any development on the matter.
