There are a lot of useful upgrades available in Slime Rancher 2. Many of these upgrades are great to grab at the beginning of the game, but they require a few materials to be unlocked. The Pulse Wave is one of the upgrades that can help players, especially if they've chosen the higher difficulty settings.

How to unlock the Pulse Wave in Slime Rancher 2

The Pulse Wave is one of the more difficult upgrades to craft at the Fabricator, but it is well worth the effort, especially for players playing on higher difficulty settings. This upgrade requires many different resources that can be found throughout the world, so it likely won't be available to most players at the start of the game.

• 450 Newbucks - Comes from selling off Plorts at the Plort Marketplace.
• 10 Flutter Plorts - Comes from Flutter Slimes when fed.
• Five Wild Honey - Can be obtained by using the Resource Harvester, which is also unlocked via the Fabricator.
• 10 Jellystone - Can be obtained using the Resource Harvester, which is also unlocked via the Fabricator.

What does the Pulse Wave do in Slime Rancher 2

The Pulse Wave emits a shockwave when used that pushes Slimes back from the character. This is very useful when being overrun by Tarr Slimes or Feral Slimes and can really come in handy in a pinch.

Where to Unlock upgrades in Slime Rancher 2

Obtaining the required materials to unlock an upgrade is just one step to actually obtaining it. Players will also need to locate the Fabricator, which is found below the Conservatory in an underground Lab. This is down a dark staircase to the left of the Plort Marketplace.
