In Sniper Elite 5, you will not use any other weapon more than the pistol and dagger. With its silencer, the pistol is great for kills that are a short distance away and require a quiet takedown. If the loadout is made well enough, the pistol can be so effective that it is like a mini sniper rifle.

We prioritized power and control over the rate of fire and mobility. A pistol is used to kill someone who cannot see you within a reasonable range. Most of what the player is given early on will work for the pistol, so it doesn't require much modification.

To be effective, a pistol should be able to reasonably kill any enemy it strikes and be accurate enough to be used whenever necessary. The ideal situation is to use your dagger, but not every enemy will be facing away from you all the time, which is why pistol effectiveness is so crucial.

We left the cosmetic feature out because it does nothing to the loadout and should really be your choice.
