Sons of the Forest Strength Icon – What does the muscle icon mean?

No pain, no gain.

Sons of the Forest plunges you into the depths of a forest filled with cannibals. After crash landing on the island, you are tasked with surviving the harsh conditions by foraging for weapons, resources, and food. You will also need to eat, rest, and drink water to sustain yourself. While most of the HUD elements are similar to that of The Forest, there is one new icon that has many players wondering what it stands for. This is the icon for Strength, and it is displayed in the HUD in the form of a muscly arm flexing. In this guide, we'll go over everything you need to know about the muscle icon in Sons of the Forest.

Sons of the Forest muscle icon meaning

The muscle icon in Sons of the Forest indicates your current Strength level. As you carry out task that involve physical labor, like chopping down trees, and carrying logs, you will increase your overall Strength stats. When you completely fill out the bar, it will reset, and display your current Strength level momentarily. Every time you level up your Strength, you will also increase your overall vitality. Other than that, an increased overall Strength level will also increase the damage you deal while using melee weapons against enemies, or the speed at which you can cut down trees.

How to increase Strength in Sons of the Forest

Your Strength stat in Sons of the Forest is indicated in the HUD as a muscle icon. To increase your Strength level, you must carry out physical tasks like chopping down trees or carrying logs. The higher your Strength level, the faster you will cut down trees, and the more damage you'll deal when using a melee weapon. Along with physical work, you should also maintain your hunger levels by consuming food to keep your Strength levels from dropping.
