Stardew Valley is a farm simulator with a lot of depth that many fans have grown to love. The game offers players many options for activities that can be done, with one of those activities being fishing and cultivating ponds for specific purposes.
The Best Fish for Fishing Ponds in Stardew Valley
When filling a pond with creatures, it is helpful to know which fish are the best for users. The best fish are usually the ones that bring in how much gold per day they can bring in for a player.
Lava Eel
The Lava Eel is easily the best fish to have in one's pond in Stardew Valley. This unique creature provides a lot of potential gold for anyone who is running a pond on their farm. These eels are relatively low maintenance and can bring in as much as 1500 gold per day.
Blobfish
The Blobfish may not be a very attractive fish, which may put off some of the players during fish selection. What the Blobfish lacks in appearance, however, it makes up for in boosting wealth for players. The fish can bring in up to 1400 gold per day.

Sturgeon
The Sturgeon is a classic fish that many people will be aware of in real life, which makes it an easy choice for some who will be more likely to choose something they are familiar with. The Sturgeon can bring in up to 900 gold per day.
Honorable Mention: Sea Cucumber
The sea cucumber is not the most useful fish when it comes to bringing in gold. You can find this fish in oceans, but it is viable in ponds. The real use of the Sea Cucumber is to make Lucky Lunch, a very useful item in Stardew Valley.
