Meadowlands Farm is specific because the land configuration isn't good for growing crops. There are too much grass, rocks, and trees, and cleaning them would take too much time. Moreover, the starting stock for Meadowlands Farm doesn't include Turnip seeds but the following items instead:

  • 15 Hay
  • 1 Small Coop
  • 2 Chickens

The location also has a river, two ponds, and a lot of space for growing grass. Concerning grass, patch 1.6 added a new sort, Blue Chewy Grass, which chickens just adore munching. If you want to grow crops after all, you can do it in a small plot below your home. And that gets us to some strategies:

  • Set up a small garden under your house as soon as you can. You'll need that money from the crops until your livestock business takes off.
  • Add more chickens to the Coop so you can unlock Mayo. Put Mayo Maker inside the Coops so you can quickly switch goods. You can either eat Mayo or trade it for some early money.
  • Craft a Storage Shed and a Barn as soon as you can. Not only will it help declutter the farm, but it will also generate extra profit from milk products.
  • Level up Foraging by looking for resources outside your farm. The Meadowland Farm has many bodies of water, so use it to hone your Fishing skills.
