All Slate Locations in Unearthed Mission – Starfield

Walking on the Moon.

Often, during missions in sci-fi ARPG Starfield, you’ll have the chance to do optional parts of quests. These tend to give you a bit of extra backstory or context and are always worth doing if you enjoy getting deeper into the storyline. A good example is the Unearthed mission. Read on if you want to know all Slate locations for the optional part of the quest in Starfield.

Unearthed is one of the key quests in Starfield, which ends with a crucial player decision that will decide how the end of the storyline plays out. But before then, some fascinating history about the artifacts and the fate of Earth is revealed. The Emissary suggests you visit the Nova Galactic Research Station on the Moon. There are six data Slates inside the station, and interacting with one of them triggers an optional quest to listen to them all.

It doesn’t matter which order you find and listen to the Slates in, and interacting with any one of them will start the optional quest. I’ve listed them below in a logical order to pick them up, but you might want to collect them in order to listen to the sequence of events in their timeline.

As you look at the main building of the base (see image above), enter via the airlock on the left (marked). Walk forward and right around the corner into a storage room. The first slate is on a yellow container on your left as you walk towards the door in front of you.

Second slate location

Take a few steps forward towards the door from where you got Slate 1 and you’ll see some lockers on your left. You’ll find Slate 3 in the rightmost of these lockers in the lower section.

Third slate location

Move through the door and into the next room. At its far end, you’ll see two discs with a screen behind them. The computer you need to access for the main quest is on the desk to the right, while Slate 2 is on the desk to your left.

Fourth slate location

Go through the door left of the left desk and left again, into a common room with a punchbag hanging from the ceiling. On your right is a small kitchen area. Slate 5 is on a white rack on the counter.

Fifth slate location

Walk down through the room to the punchbag and into the last bunk room on the right. You’ll find Slate 4 on the chest of drawers under the No Pain, No Gain poster.

Sixth slate location

Go back into the room with the two desks and up the stairs onto the upper level. Follow the gangway to the end, where you’ll find a small desk on your right. The sixth and final Slate is next to the computer.
