On those long space travels, you're bound to create some chemistry with companions and, who knows, maybe even kiss a few. While there are several important characters I've met, I have yet to have a first date with someone. But I did flirt, so dinner and the movie are still options. I guess it's hard to have a long-distance relationship when your love interest is light-years away on a faraway planet, but love always finds a way!

To romance a companion, you need to increase their affinity towards you. You'll improve your chances by talking to love interests, completing quests, and making decisions they approve of. Once your companion's affinity is high enough, you can start a romance with them. Starfield has many love options, but initially, the pickings are slim.
