Those hoping for a touch-screen can breathe a sigh of relief. The Steam Deck will offer a 7-inch touch screen that allows users to navigate the Steam interface when selecting games. It offers multitouch capacity so that Users can press several points at one time.

Not only will the system have a touch screen, but the Steam Deck features Trackpads that mimic the precision granted by a mouse and keyboard setup. This allows players to enjoy games that were never designed for handheld play. The system even has Gyro controls that grant an extra level of precision.

Reservations for the Steam Deck begin on July 16, 2021, at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT/6 PM BST. Starting at $399, there are several different storage capacities that consumers can purchase the system with:

  • $399-64GB
  • $529-256GB
  • $649-512GB
