Stella Sora is one of those gacha games where getting pulls is difficult, and there are plenty of meta characters, both already in the game and coming out in the future, that you'll want to get. To help you make the best choices possible regarding summons and upgrades, here is our definitive Stella Sora characters tier list.
Stella Sora Characters Tier List
Tiers Explained
S Tier: The best characters in Stella Sora that are core members of the most meta rosters. They should be your highest priority when rerolling or summoning.
A Tier: Very strong characters that either have excellent utility or work really well with other characters of the same element.
B Tier: Characters that have value, especially on their designated elemental teams. However, they aren't as high a priority as the S/A-tier characters.
In the tier list above is our general ranking of all characters (Trekkers) in Stella Sora, based on their overall performance across all game content (both PvP and PvE). To summarize, 5-star characters are better than 4-star ones, especially when maxed out. However, a lot of 4-star characters have their value, and you'll have to use them on their designated elemental rosters to proc the enemy's elemental weakness in certain game modes/stages. So, all characters are technically viable, but some are higher priority than others when it comes to upgrades, and the tier list reflects that. For more info on each character, see the section below.
S Tier - Best Characters in Stella Sora
| Trekker | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Chitose Aqua Vanguard | + The very first limited unit in the game, Chitose is extremely valuable and her value will go up over time + As of her banner, she has the highest ATK stat in the game, that shines in her 6-move combo + Ultimate covers a huge area of effect + Both ultimate and main skill can trigger Chill on enemies, debuffing their speed |
![]() Gerie Terra Vanguard | + Has a 5-move attack combo + Her skill links 2 enemies nearby in an area of effect damage field, in which Gerie gains further buffs for auto attacks |
![]() Nazuna Terra Support | + Excellent support unit which gives buffs for the whole squad, in addition to providing additional damage - The rng nature of the buff raffle makes Nazuna less reliable and less powerful in non-mono Terra squads |
![]() Minova Lux Versatile | + Minova works great on the main position, but also provides excellent backup support damage making her a worthy pick in any scenario + All around a well balanced unit with an interesting moveset |
![]() Nanoha Ventus Vanguard | + A powerful Ventus unit best suited to the main position with a relatively simple 3-move combo + Nanoha's Ultimate summons two turrets that help keep up the pressure on your targets |
![]() Ridge Terra Versatile | + The best 4* unit, Ridge's support skill allows the whole team to proc Terra-specific mark damage for extra numbers - When in main role, she is mostly suited to keeping her distance in order to conserve health |
![]() Shia Lux Vanguard | + Deals damage by summoning multiple drones to focus on targets + Shia's Ultimate summons a long, wide range orbital barrage that peppers the entire field with damage + Extremely high mobility and great control of the field + Her 5* Lux Vanguard class resolves the lack of a dedicated top tier Lux main damager |
A Tier - Very Strong Characters
| Trekker | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Chixia Ignis Versatile | + Excellent support skill that grants additional damage coverage through summons + Her Ultimate locks onto the target, making sure no damage goes to waste - For a 5* unit, Chixia's ATK stat is on the lower end |
![]() Freesia Aqua Versatile | + Her Ultimate puts Freesia in the Berserk state, which is a 20 second ATK buff that is great with her both in main and in support slots. + The Berserk status changes Freesia's standard 5-move attack to a powerful 3-move combo + Can additionally inflict Chill with main skill or Stream, it's weaker counterpart, with support skill |
![]() Mistique Umbra Versatile | + She summons various creatures that deal damage through her main skill and support skill + Mistique's Ultimate is also a powerful summon that deals damage in an area of effect - A generally weak standard attack combo |
![]() Tilia Lux Support | + A great support skill that stuns a target for 2 seconds, especially useful on bosses + While Tilia is less likely to be in the main position, she can increase her survivability through her Fortify Stance main skill |
![]() Cosette Umbra Support | + Sports a decent 5-move combo for a support unit, albeit with a weaker ATK + Has an amazing support skill debuff that has the targets take around 60% more Umbra damage, but this means Cosette works as intended in mono-Umbra teams only |
![]() Ann Ventus Support | + Best suited for support role, boosts the entire squad's ATK by an amazing 66% for the duration of the skill + Ann's main skill summons a creature which directly buffs the squad's ATK by a default of 53% - The main skill summon's full damage potential is rng reliant, reinforcing that she is best kept in the back lines |
![]() Flora Ignis Support | + The best part of Flora's kit, her support skill, grants the main unit's Crit DMG and Crit Rate, while dealing some damage + Her Ultimate creates a hot zone aggro for all present targets, while also dealing Ignis damage over time |
B Tier - Strong Characters
| Trekker | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Teresa Aqua Support | + Teresa's main and support skill grant a protective shield and a bonus Aqua damage field to either herself as the main unit, or the active main unit respectively, making for a great supporter during boss battles |
![]() Jinglin Lux Versatile | + While Jinglin carries the class of Versatile, her damage is best suited for bosses, as the Ultimate attacks random enemies, making it less reliable for large groups of enemies |
![]() Canace Ventus Versatile | + Grants the main unit a solid buff for 62% of her own ATK as a damage over time effect to be inflicted upon the main's target |
![]() Laru Lux Vanguard | + Has a 5-move attack combo and an Ultimate with a good multiplier that totals for a solid damage output for a 4* main damager - Laru's support skill has lesser usability as it appears in random locations |
![]() Amber Ignis Vanguard | + Otherwise unremarkable, Amber, the first unit you get in the game, has solid multipliers on her Ultimate and skills |
![]() Kasimira Ignis Versatile | + Kasimira has no noteworthy skills, other than providing constant cover Ignis damage, so she is likely to be of lesser help in a support role |
![]() Noya Ventus Vanguard | + With a combo of 4 Ventus moves and a good ATK stat for a 4* unit, Noya is the beginner damager you will always get for your roster |
![]() Coronis Umbra Versatile | + Coronis offers some minor crowd control, primarily for weaker targets and in main unit position, otherwise unremarkable for support unless she is able to stack Umbra with other units of the same type |
![]() Shimiao Aqua Vanguard | + Shimiao has a long, 6-move standard attack combo with solid multipliers, and an interesting two-phase main skill, while both of her skills and Ultimate can inflict Chill, granting her some crowd control abilities |
![]() Iris Aqua Versatile | + Iris is forced upon your team in a support role, but in reality, she is better suited for main role due to Chill effects being proc'd through the main skill instead |
![]() Caramel Umbra Vanguard | + As a self-buffing damager with some damage over time effects she can inflict upon targets, Caramel offers a skillset that few other vanguards do, so she is a solid option if you are confined to 4* Umbra units |
How to Reroll in Stella Sora
Much of early progress in the game depends on ease of clearing stages, and as such you'll be wanting the best units available. The game has a very generous starter reroll feature, though it encompasses only the standard banner. If you want to truly reroll the entire account - you will have to make sure to login as Guest on the Yostar account prompt. To reroll in Stella Sora, just follow these few simple steps below.
- Clear the intro level with the units you're given
- The game will take you to the beginner 10-pull on the standard banner
- You can reroll the entire ten pull 20 times, and also save five favorite ten pull rosters to pick and choose from
- Even if your save list is full, you can replace any of the saves with your new favorite
- After 20 rerolls, you will be taken to your list of 5 saves to pick your favorite and lock it in.
If you want to reroll on the limited banner and try your luck with the 20 limited pulls you are granted on the start of your journey, you will have to take a few more steps. Due to rerolling generally being frowned upon, pay attention as it may not be an infinite reroll option you are seeking!
- From the game's main screen, tap the three line menu in the upper right corner
- Head to Settings
- From the Account tab, click Go on the User Center
- Hit Delete Account in the lower left corner
- Confirm deletion of the Guest account and type DELETE
- Depending on the state of the servers, there may be a 15 day cool-off period on account deletion
- Don't forget to bind your guest pulls to your Yostar account once you're satisfied!
Stella Sora Tier List FAQ
A: The best characters to reroll for in Stella Sora right now are Chitose, Gerie, Nazuna, Nanoha, and Minova. They are all extremely strong 5-stars, though Chitose is the only limited one and, by far, the best to pull for.
Q: What are the best 5-star characters in Stella Sora?
A: The best 5-star characters are Chitose, Gerie, Nazuna, Minova, and Nanoha. Other 5-star characters are great as well, but they aren't as much of a priority considering there will be new 5-star characters that will replace them.
Q: What are the best 4-star characters in Stella Sora?
A: The best 4-star characters are Ridge, Tilia, Cosette, Ann, and Flora. They all have either amazing DPS or utility, making them solid choices for almost any team.
Q: What is the best team element to go for?
A: Terra (Earth) is by far the best element to go for, as literally all Terra characters are top-tier. Most of the people from the CN beta test agree on that. It seems that this element was added into the game towards the end of beta testing, and turned out to be not as balanced, making it super strong. Other elemental rosters are all of similar strength, with Aqua being a standout with two strong 5-stars you can use.
Q: Are B-tier characters even worth using?
A: Yes, B-tier characters are definitely worth using, especially because exploiting elemental weaknesses plays such a huge role in virtually every PvE mode.
A: Unless you are really, really shooting for Chitose, it's not worth going through the hassle of a true account reroll. The game generously offers you a twenty ten-pull options to choose from, so the odds of you not getting a desired standard banner unit are pretty small. And if you're not too picky, you can also min-max your ten pull with a good 4-star and disc selection to boost you through early game.
A: The limited unit Shia is going to be recruitable for the duration of her banner, "Tide to The full Moon", during the event "Daring Adventure: The Ghost Ship Haunts The Deep". The event and its related banner starts on October 27th, 2025 after the maintenance, and will be available until November 17th 2025, 12:59 (UTC-7).
