How to stop bleeding in Stranded Deep

Put pressure on the wound.

Blood is icky and that is no different in Stranded Deep. If you find yourself getting attacked by a tiger shark or great white shark, you may start bleeding. If you are bleeding, you will lose .15 percent of your health per second.

This is obviously bad and could very well lead to you dying. You will need to stop the bleeding if you want to survive. There are two ways to stop bleeding. You can use either a bandage or gauze. Without these items, you cannot stop bleeding.

Bandages can be found inside hidden cabinets aboard shipwrecks—don't worry, they are still sterile. Alternatively, you can craft bandages with a single piece of cloth and lashing. In addition to stopping bleeding, bandages will heal two bars of health. Using a bandage will consume it and you can stack this item in groups of four.

Your other option to stop bleeding is to use gauze. Gauze cannot be found like bandages and instead must be crafted. Gauze is crafted by combining kura, quwawa, and a coconut flask. The materials for this recipe are somewhat rare, so it is best not to rely on gauze if you find yourself bleeding and instead when necessary.
