What does the orange symbol and number mean next to a mission in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Farming gear sets has never been easier!

Initially in Strager of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, the orange symbols indicate some tutorials but later after the battle with Chaos Advent, Side Missions will be unlocked. The number next to the orange symbols indicates how many Side Missions are available in the area, often having the player explore additional areas in previous locations.

Are Side Missions Necessary

While players can easily go through the game only doing the blue Main Missions, the orange Side Missions offer excellent rewards. This can be useful in getting a player's gear up to par with the recommended level of each Main Mission as well. Each Side Mission will have details of the rewards and possible drops just like the Main Mission. This ensures that players don't have to waste time doing lower-level Missions for the equipment they don't need.

The objective of Side Missions can vary but generally, they involve slaying some kind of powerful creature. Dismantling weapons and gear is recommended as players do have a carry limit and shouldn't hoard their low-level gear. Filtering gear by Rank is an effective way of dismantling mass amounts of gear as well.

Whenever players pick up a weapon or learn a new Job, they can seek the Tutorial for their newly unlocked Job at the ??? location in the middle of the World Map. This puts players in the same area as the beginning tutorial of the game and teaches them the mechanics of each Job.
