Multiplayer is not limited to a special mode—it extends to the main storyline. Hill said you can play the entire game solo or play with friends in multiplayer co-op. Players can come in and out of the story mode at any point during the story in co-op with up to four players.

Every character in Suicide Squad will do their part throughout the game, regardless of whether a player is controlling them. In contrast to the Arkham games, you are not going through the game alone. You need to work together with your squad throughout the game so an AI will control any character not being controlled by a player. Therefore, even if you do not have friends to play with, you will still feel like you do.
