Where to find the Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG

It's a lovely ring.

While there are many accessories and items you can find in Super Mario RPG, one of my favorites is the Nurture Ring. Use the guide below to get your hands on the Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG.

How to get the Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG

The Nurture Ring must be purchased in the shop at the Marrymore Hotel in the town of Marrymore. You'll eventually reach this area as you progress through the game. It cost 145 coins.

What does the Nurture Ring do in Super Mario RPG?

The Nurture Ring has the following effect:

Halves damage taken from elemental attacks. Allows for the use of Mystery Egg.

However, the Nurture Ring has another effect if you know what to do with it. Give the item to Peach and have her use the Mystery Egg item; this hatches the Lamb's Lure. The Lamb's Lure is a unique item that turns a single enemy into a sheep, removing them from the battle and getting rid of its EXP and coins bonus. The Lamb's Lure does not work against bosses, only standard enemies.

If you use the Lamb's Lure 48 times, the item will transform into the Sheep Attack. It has the same effect but turns all enemies in the battle into sheep instead of a single enemy. Sheep Attack does not affect boss enemies either. Keep in mind the effect of removing EXP and coin rewards still applies, meaning you won't get any reward for that combat. I recommend using the item if things are not going your way and your party is about to die.
