How to unlock more units in Super Robot Wars 30

Get as many Mecha, Mobile Suits, and Super Robots as you can!

The impressive giant robots of Super Robot Wars 30 are definitely the main attraction. You want as many of these mechs as possible, drawn from dozens of classic anime and games and rendered in beautiful high-quality sprites. But how do you unlock more units in Super Robot Wars 30?

The primary way of unlocking units is to play main story missions. These will unlock certain story-specific suits and robots as you go. Usually, you’ll know ahead of time if you’re going to unlock a new unit, as the game will tell you that you’re headed to recruit a new pilot.

However, units are also unlocked in side missions. Some of the units in the game just don’t neatly fit into the game's narrative, and you’ll have to grab them by finding their appropriate mission on the Mission tab and completing it.

This is also how you unlock any DLC or bonus units you’ve gotten from packs like the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.

Ultimately, the best way to unlock all the units you can is to play as many missions as possible when they unlock on the Mission tab. To identify missions that will unlock a new unit, look out for mission descriptions saying that you’re “recruiting a new ally.” Or that a dimensional portal has opened. Those missions will usually unlock a new unit.
