King is a masked wrestler in Tekken, and his fighting style has remained consistent throughout all the games, including Tekken 8. As a result, many of his combos and moves focus on landing a few solid hits before executing intricate wrestling moves to swiftly end the match.

How to read Tekken 8 movelists

Tekken 8 is a cross-platform game. To standardize all moves across platforms, the Tekken community uses numbers and letters to translate inputs, ensuring consistency regardless of the platform you play on.

Beginner combos for King in Tekken 8

  • Normal: u/f4 f3 1,2 b1,2 fff2+4
  • Counter: b1,2 fff2+4
  • Low: d/f fff2+4
  • Wall: ff4

To start, I recommend beginning with simple specialty moves by pressing 1 a few times, or by performing air combos by pressing 2.

While it may seem complicated at first, Tekken 8 offers a comprehensive offline practice mode where you can test out your combos. You can view demonstration snippets of these moves and keep them on top of your screen so you can try them in real-time.
