How to fix The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game code too long error

What am I supposed to do with the seventh digit?

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a thrilling survival horror game you can play with your friends, but nothing kills the thrill like server errors. For party creation purposes, the game is supposed to allow you a six-digit code that your friends can use to join the lobby. But recently, I encountered a unique error that gave me a seven-digit code instead. In this article, we will take a look at all the possible solutions for this issue and how to overcome it.

How to fix The Texas Chainsaw Massacre party code too long issue

Unfortunately, there is no player-wide fix for the issue with the party code being too long in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It is an in-game bug caused by a faulty parameter inside the code-generating script. It is caused by the character limitation not being strictly limited to six digits. While a game code can technically still be valid and be seven digits long, there is no physical way for players to input a code with an extra character in the code window, making it useless.

However, I can confirm that rebooting my PC has temporarily solved the issue with the party code being too long in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This solution is by no means perfect, but perhaps a simple relaunch of the game may solve the issue, depending on how exactly the code generation happens. It still isn't a permanent fix, and we will have to wait for the developers to patch this bug fully.
