The Thaumaturge is a complex story-driven RPG set in 19th-century Eastern Europe. You’ll be exploring, completing quests, and fighting, so read on to see which controls do what, and when, on both controller and keyboard.

While The Thaumaturge is a game you can take at your own pace, both while exploring and in combat, it does have a lot of controls you need to remember to have a smooth experience. Add to this some unique takes on familiar ideas and you've got your work cut out, in a good way.

This is made more complicated by certain buttons and keys doing different things depending on your current situation, such as being in combat or exploring a location. You’ll find all the controls, for both the keyboard and a controller, listed below.

Also, note that you can change the keyboard settings to suit your style by rebinding them. To do so from the start screen, select Options and then Mouse and Keyboard. To make changes while you play, press Escape on your keyboard or Menu on the controller to return to the start menu.
