That's a lot of vehicles.

The third entry in The Crew franchise, The Crew Motorfest, is a racing game I'm looking forward to playing. Here's what you need to know about the upcoming racing game. Here is everything you need to know about The Crew Motorfest, including the release date, platforms, how to play for free, the latest trailer, and more.

The Crew Motorfest Release Date

Unlike many other games announced during Gamescom 2023, The Crew Motorfest has a release date - September 14, 2023. If you want to get into some current-gen racing that isn't Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo, you can do so with The Crew Motorfest these last days of summer.

The Crew Motorfest early access - preorder bonuses

Yes, you can play The Crew Motorfest earlier than most players. By grabbing the Gold or Ultimate editions of the game, you'll enjoy three days of The Crew Motorfest early access beginning on September 11, 2023. Also, if you preorder the game, you'll be awarded the Toyota GP Supra 2021 LBWK Edition.

What's scary about this release date is the fact that it's launching close to the new Forza game. Add to that Starfield, which draws Baldur's Gate 3/Diablo IV level of attention, and this Ubisoft racing game can get lost in the shuffle.

What platforms will The Crew Motorfest be on?

The Crew Motorfest is a cross-gen game that will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also be available through Amazon Luna, so if you're somebody who likes to game in the cloud, that will remain an option for you.

Despite the last-gen limitations, the game looked good and ran smoothly in the footage shown. It doesn't look like there's any reason to believe a PS4 and Xbox One release will be holding this one back, and I hope I'll get my first taste of whether that's the case very soon.

How to play The Crew Motorfest free trial

If you are unsure whether to buy the game, you can play The Crew Motorfest free trial from September 14 to September 17. You'll get 5 hours of free play, including cross-play and Season 1 Live Content (American vehicles month). All your progress will be saved so you can continue playing if you buy the game. The Crew Moterfest free trial version is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, or with a Ubisoft+ subscription.

What is The Crew Motorfest?

Racing fans have a ton to look forward to in The Crew Motorfest as it features a fully explorable O'ahu, an island of Hawaii. Ubisoft says you'll be able to drive down the streets of Honolulu, zoom down a volcano, and head through rainforests, beaches, and mountain roads.

Launch Gameplay Trailer (Gamescom 2023)

Take a look at The Crew Motorfest launch gameplay trailer, shown on Gamescom 2023:

There will be over 610 vehicles at launch, and if this ends up being a game that Ubisoft supports post-launch, then there will be even more cars as the updates roll out. If you're even remotely interested in the racing genre, The Crew Motorfest is shaping up like a can't-miss experience.
