How to ping in The Cycle Frontier

Ping anything and everything.

The Cycle: Frontier is a multiplayer survival shooter where you descend to Fortuna III, an alien planet, seeking fame and wealth. You can play solo or with friends as you compete against other prospectors and the hostile wildlife. Those playing in a group may be wondering how to ping to help their allies in The Cycle: Frontier.

To ping in The Cycle: Frontier, simply aim your cursor where you are trying to ping and press the middle mouse button. This will ping the location and mark it for your allies. This is helpful when you spot an enemy in the distance, a hostile alien, or even resources.

Even when not playing in a group, pinging a location or object is a great way to mark it for yourself. It can be easy to get turned around in The Cycle: Frontier, especially if you are in combat or caught in a storm. It is also a good habit to get into, as you can bring this muscle memory into squad play.

If you do not like having ping bound to the middle mouse button, you are free to rebind your controls and place it where you like. Having the ping function tied to an easy-to-reach and use button will help you ping faster and more accurately in-game.
