How to fix Caliber not showing in The First Descendant

I WANT MY MONEY

As The First Descendant was only released on July 2, 2024, it's expected that the game will have a few ups and downs - especially with the number of players that are clogging up the server. Free-to-play games are usually pretty popular, but the developers at The First Descendant probably weren't expecting over 200,000 people to log on and play just hours after its release.

What is Caliber in The First Descendant?

Caliber is The First Descendant's in-game currency. You purchase Caliber with your own real-world money and then the amount of Caliber you purchased appears in your game. Or, it should, but that's why you're here, isn't it?

If your Caliber purchase hasn't immediately hit your in-game inbox, the first thing I can suggest is that you give it a couple of minutes. As I mentioned above, thousands of people are trying out this new looter-shooter right now, and a lot of them are probably buying Caliber to escape the basic skin of their starter Descendants. I know I want to; it's weird being surrounded by hundreds of players that all look the same.

There are a few basic fixes you can try if your Caliber purchase hasn't shown up after a few minutes. I'd suggest trying these in order before you start submitting a support request to The First Descendant's team:

  • Refresh your mailbox. Leave the Albion Hub, travel back, and go to one of the mailboxes that are set up around the hub.
  • Restart your game. The First Descendant is having a few issues at the moment, including stuttering and lagging, so try shutting everything down and loading the game back up.
  • Check your internet connection. This game heavily relies on your Wi-Fi; it's a collaborative game where you can see players running around all the time. You might have disconnected without realizing it.
  • Wait a little longer. Ideally, up to an hour. Again, the servers are likely a bit overloaded right now, and you aren't the only player who didn't get their Caliber right away.
  • Submit a support ticket. At this point, submitting a support request to NEXON is a good idea.
  • Get a refund via Steam. When you check out, Steam will remind you that they're happy to refund purchases like this within 48 hours, provided they haven't been transferred or modified in any way. I can't guarantee this, of course, I don't work for Steam, but it's something I noticed when looking into this issue.

I'm hopeful that one of these tips will work for you so that you can get that dinosaur onesie set you know you want.
