How to get the Healing Holster in The Last Faith

The Healing Holster is locked in an easy-to-find chest in The Last Faith, but it is blocked by a devious puzzle that makes it difficult to reach. After some trial and error, I managed to find a simple way around it.

How to reach the Healing Holster in The Last Faith

First of all, the Healing Holster is located near the beginning of the Federal Inquisition zone. The area of the chest containing it is pretty difficult to miss, but you can run right past it without noticing.

Once you reach the room shown on the map above, you'll come across three mechanical devices (smashers) that will crush you if you're under them. The Healing Holster is right on the other side of the last smasher, but getting through all three of them without dying is difficult due to their speed.

I spent 15 to 20 minutes attempting to navigate this puzzle. Simply timing your run to get through them is impossible, again, due to their speed. Rolling allowed me to bypass the first smasher, but getting through the last two seemed impossible because of the odd timing between them. Turns out, jumping is actually the key.

In order to bypass all three smashers, all you need to do is jump when you're right under any of them. I know this sounds strange... but hear me out.

When you jump with the timing so that you're underneath a smasher, The Last Faith doesn't register the sequence correctly. So, instead of being smashed into oblivion, you'll be nudged to the closest side of each smasher. If you jump so that you're closer to the right side, the game will spit you out on that side, bypassing the smasher puzzle entirely. Do this for all three smashers, and you'll reach the other side, where the Healing Holster is waiting for you in a chest.

What does the Healing Holster do in The Last Faith?

The Healing Holster allows you to carry two additional Healing Injections, which is paramount to success in The Last Faith. Having more opportunities to heal means more chances to succeed in a boss encounter. Bosses in The Last Faith are hard, so you want as many Healing Injections as you can get your hands on.
