There is a chain link door you'll run into early on in The Last Faith that, unless you find its roots, will keep you from progressing forward. If you're stuck, here's how you can open it easily.
How to unlock the chain link door in The Last Faith
You'll come across this particular door a few hours into the game. If you look closely at the door, you'll see there are three metal chains locking it shut. The only way to open this door is to break those three chains at their roots.
The chain door's three roots are scattered around the area, sectioned off, and void of anything else in their vicinity. All three are located within the City of Mythringal zone. The first is located northeast of the Mythringal East District Shrine.
First Root - Mythringal East District
The second root for the chain link door is located southeast of the first root.
Second Root - Mythringal East District
Finally, the last root for the chain link door is located directly south of the Mythringal East District Shrine.
Thrid Root - Mythring East District
To destroy each of these roots, simply strike them with whatever weapon you see fit a few times, and they will shatter into pieces. Once all three have shattered, you'll get a brief cutscene showing the door has unfastened.
Where is the chain link door in The Last Faith?
It is entirely possible to find all the roots before finding the chain link door. If you've found yourself in this situation, then you can find the chain link door on the far, northeastern side of the City of Mythringal zone.
The door itself opens the way to the Federal Inquisiton zone, allowing you to continue your dark adventure in The Last Faith unimpeded.
