How to beat The Visitor – Walkthrough guide

We come in peace...

I’ve been a fan of point-and-click adventures since the original Monkey Island graced our screens, so I’m always happy to see new games in the genre popping up on sites such as Crazy Games. One of the biggest titles on Crazy Games is The Visitor, so if you’re playing too, read on for my full walkthrough.

The Visitor Walkthrough Guide

In this game, you play as the visitor, an alien lifeform that arrives on Earth via a meteorite. Note that there may be multiple ways to complete each scene, but this walkthrough explains how I got completed them.

The landing

Click the branch (1a) and it will fall into the water, then click on yourself (1b) to jump onto the log. Click the frog (1c) to make it eat you, which doesn’t work out so well for the frog...

Now, click the tree stump hole (1a) and the bird will fly up to it, allowing you to uproot the stump it was standing on by clicking on it (1d). Select the fishing rod (1e) and place it on the uprooted stump. Finally, click the meteor (1b) to move a fish towards shore and click the rod to attach it (you’ll see the fish’s shadow move towards shore and not go back). You can now click yourself to jump onto the fishing rod. Click the rod a few more times and you will be catapulted to the next screen.

The cat

Click the apple core (2a) to make yourself eat it. This makes you sick, which attracts a spider to the web and moves the cat. Now click the door handle (2b) to jump over to it, and then you’ll fall to the ground. Click the cat to get its attention.

Now click the tree shadow above the door (2c). You will pull the tree down with your tongue, distracting the cat and allowing you to enter the house through the mouse hole.

The pipes and the cat

Each tap blasts gas through one of the holes, throwing you up in the air. It doesn’t matter which order you click them in, but the quickest way is yellow, red, and then yellow again.

This will throw you back out onto the windowsill above the cat. Click the cat’s bum to dive in and, ahem, level up. Finally, click the door handle to head inside the house.

The kitchen

Select the blender (3a) to open the lid, then an orange (3b) to make it roll inside the blender. You can now click the blender buttons (3c) to make juice. This next section involves timing; when you click the blender lid again, the juice will start spilling, attracting the woman's attention. While she is turned away, click the tap on the sink (3d) to make it overflow. Now click the top drawer (3e), followed by the knife (3f), and she will have an unfortunate accident…

Turn up the air conditioning (3g) until the plate falls off the wall (3h). Select yourself to jump onto the counter, then the light bulb (3i) to swing across into the top of the fridge. Click the gap behind the AC plate (3h) to move forward.

The bedroom

Click the AC plate to remove it (4a), then the bird to make it fly out of its cage. Select the fish in the aquarium (4b) to drop down for your next meal, then select yourself again to jump to the floor, knocking over the can of feed.

Click the pile of clothes (4c) to hide, and the bird will fly to the seeds. Once it lands, click the bird again for another tasty snack, and then click the clothes once more to fly up above the bird cage. Click the open mouth (4d) of the person on the top bunk (you can guess the rest…), then click yourself to jump down. Select the person on the bottom bunk to complete the room.

The bathroom - all endings

There are three potential endings to The Visitor, depending on what you do when you enter the bathroom. If you want any ending other than the first listed below (the alien escapes), you’ll need to click the door as soon as the final room is revealed.

Note that you can watch the quick ending first, then select "Replay last scene?" to check out the other endings without having to replay the whole game. Finally, note that clicking the door quickly is the only time you have to act fast in these final scenes.

The alien escapes

If you just watch the scene, the alien will kill the hiding man and jump out of the window, completing the game.

The alien dies

As soon as you hear the scream, click the door (5a) to close it. Now click the toilet paper (5b), then the toilet bowl (5c), and then flush (5d) to flood the bathroom. Fill the bath with water (5e), then open the cabinet under the sink (5f) and take the hairdryer. The alien will rush into the room and slip, falling head-first into the bath.

Select the sink tap (5g) and fill the sink with water, then click the plug socket (5h) to plug in the hairdryer. Click the sink and the hairdryer will fall in, creating a small explosion that breaks the other cabinet door to reveal a gun. Keep clicking the gun until the alien is defeated.

Everyone dies

Follow the instructions above for the ending where the alien dies, but stop after it falls head-first into the bath. Plug the hairdryer into the socket, then click the alien in the bath. Oops…
