Best Classes in Unicorn Overlord, Ranked (Tier List)
In Unicorn Overlord, units are led by different classes of heroes. Every class has its good and bad sides, and each of them is useful; that doesn't mean all classes are equal, as some are obviously better than others. All the heroes you can recruit fall into one of the classes we ranked by their usefulness in four tiers, from S to C.

Unicorn Overlord Best Classes
S-Tier
- Lord - This is a commanding class with great offensive and defensive capabilities. Lords can protect allies in battle and are great party leaders. Being a leader also means the Lord gets additional Valor points after beating enemy units.
- Swordfighter - This Class excels in accuracy and critical chance. The Swordfighter's skills also restore AP and PP, which often results in infinite turns or chain kills. This hero offers great offensive and defensive properties to any unit.
A-Tier
- Hunter - Hunter is a great class, for several reasons. He's very effective against flying units and provides ranged assistance as a party leader. Most importantly, the Hunter can target enemy units with high evasion. However, he lacks defensive abilities to be a top-tier.
- Gryphon Knight - Gryphon Knight is a flying unit that deals a lot of AoE damage. Also, they deal bonus damage to Cavalry enemy units. The biggest flaw of Gryphon Knights is their weakness against Hunters.
B-Tier
- Soldier - Soldier is a well-rounded class that can fit in any unit configuration. His stats are balanced, and he can offer good passives to the team. However, Soldiers are vulnerable to AoE and CC attacks.
- Wizard - A great class for single-target DPS, with strong DPS passives. Wizard is good against most tank classes, but his weak defense makes this class a glass cannon.
C-Tier
- Housecarl - Housecarls have decent AoE and DPS against single targets, but it gets outclassed really quickly by the higher tier units. Magic classes destroy Housecarls with ease, and their defensive stat scaling is weak.
