Is Warcraft Rumble pay-to-win? Answered

Pay to play?

Warcraft Rumble is a mobile-based strategy game based on everyone's favorite Warcraft universe. Since it's a mobile game, you may be wondering if it is pay-to-win, and I'll answer this for you below.

Do you have to pay to win in Warcraft Rumble?

Pay-to-win, microtransactions, and other benefits received after paying are common themes for mobile games of all kinds. Sadly, Warcraft Rumble isn't too different when it comes to a mobile game business model. But is Warcraft Rumble really pay-to-win? In my opinion, the answer is no. I think it's just pay-to-rush.

While Warcraft Rumble is free to download on both iOS and Android, the description does mention it offers in-app purchases. If you're willing to pay, you can speed up your game and get strong really fast by buying different things, such as the Arclight Booster for $19.99, which boosts your gains by a huge margin, or simply getting a ton of coins used to upgrade your grid, something I did not do myself since I like to experience the game without any shortcuts.

You can play it without paying—there will just be a lot more grind to it. If you don't want to pay, you'll be alright. It just makes sense to have microtransactions in the game since they have to make money one way or another.
